Well I was partying with some people yestrady and it took me a while to notice, but one of the guys had what was apparently a pet, but it was a tiny horseman on some horse and together they were about half a foot tall. WHAT is that?

I want one...

It's a Necrid Horseman minipet. They're just eye-candy and do nothing but look cool. You can either buy one, or hope you get one as a present on your characters 1st birthday.

It'll be the Necrid Horseman Minipet. Once a character hits its 1st birthday (1 year from when you made it) you will receive a Present in your inventory. Double click that and you get a minipet (No guaranteed to be the horsemen of course).

Minipets can be bought and sold too.

It'd be nice if you actually attempted to use English, as per forum rules, in your post. However, in answer to your poorly constructed question, yes you have to have one character that is 12 months old. Not an account, a character.

To make it more clearly, 365 days have to pass from the time you created that character. Whether you log on and play or not will not affect the age counter. So technically, you can create a character, not play that character or even Guild Wars for an entire year, log back in after a year, and you'll get a minipet. There are various minipets and the one you get is totally random. If you just can't wait an entire year, there are many people in cities like Lion's Arch and Kaineng Center that are always selling them. Sometimes you can get a good deal on one but expect to pay at least 20k for a common minipet and a LOT more for the more rare ones.

I have a Necrid Horseman, and with exception of the Bone Dragon it's the only pet to have for a Necromancer.

Ive had just about all of them for some time or another...they're a good way to make money...buy low...sell high...keep the one you like for yourself.

same thing with ectos....buy when they are low...and sell when they jump up in prices (as im sure they will with the release of nightfall)

but, like almost every other method in GW, in order to get rich, you have to be rich.
