Starting tyria quests with a canthan character

Hi all.

I have traveled to tyria with my canthan character (assassin if that matters), but I cant seem to do any quests (not missions, quests), is there some way i have to trigger them or is it impossible for me to do them?
I am in ascalon now, did a run from LA, but the NPC´s that had quests with my tyrian characters doesnt seem to have them now.

Pretty much all the Pre-Lion's Arch quests are unavailable to Canthans.
The Missions, on the other hand, are available only so you can get your Protector Title.
