A shield idea!!!!

I just made up this shield thinking it'd be alrigth, but most likely going to be railed on YAY!
here's thingy..
Shield:
GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD or GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN
16 armor req 8-12 strength
10% chance to block melee attacks (will not work if strength is below 10)

w00t I knwo you guys are probably going to be confused on it won't black unless you got 10 strength when the req is like 8, WTF?
But yeah, that's my idea... i guess...

:O, thats not the problem.

A monster hits you for 30 damage. You can reduce it do 25 dmg with a -5(20%)

For 10%, you can completely stop 30 dmg. Which.... is a little overpowered?

I dont' know Naruto fan......
Maybe this'l be better

My idea wasn't negative...just reminding him that there are lots of 75% evade stances...but once again...
