I am having trouble in PvP with my Rit. In the PvE i typically play the build I have works without flaw. However in PvP I find that I am not as dangerous as in PvE. The build is as follows
Painful Bond
Pain
Bloodsong
Spirit Rift
Essence Strike
Soul Twisting
Mend Body and Soul
Flesh of My Flesh
(similar to other builds I have seen around, I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS BUILD)
In Random Arenas the build did quite well. However in more involved Team Arenas I was a quick target and unable to adapt this build.
I choose not to Rit Lord as IMO it is not worth it in the arenas(AB n HA may be exceptions, i am new to the arenas)
I was wondering if ne1 had ne solid builds for PvP? The secondary can be anything as i have the availability to change.
Forgive me if i have overlooked a previous thread of this sort.

Personally, as Rit is my main char, I can only share with you 3 means for Rits to PvP (this is RA and TA).
1. Communing (Spirit Spam). Your best bet is just go the cookie-cutter communing. Some like the Rit Lord elite, but honestly, there's no need to spam the spirit recasts because almost no one bothers to take them out. I prefer Soul Twisting or Wanderlust as the Elite skill. Take Generous was Tsungrai as your self-heal because you probably won't get a Monk in RA. For TA, drop the heal skill, and fill it with a spirit. (Assuming your standard is Pain, Blood+Shadowsong, you can pick a few other ones, Union is good, Wanderlust is amazing.)
2. Channeling. This is interesting, as you have quite a few options. Some like Clamor of Souls, I personally dislike it. I prefer Grasping instead. A while ago I saw some build using Aftershock, but it seems like it has been taken down. My own modified version includes: Rupture Soul, Grasping, Aftershock, Destruction, Draw Spirit, Spirit Siphon, and Lamentation. In RA and TA Rits have an advantage of being able to hold an ash before the gates open, so as you run out you already have the cooldown of Grasping (or another ash) ready. You can try doing this: (1) Run in cast Destruction; (2) Try to get your melee to lure the enemies around Destruction; (3) When they are all bunched up within proximity, drop Grasping (KD), Aftershock (120 dmg), Grasping again (KD), Rupture Soul (AOE DMG 100 PLUS however long Destruction was up for by seconds); (4) Then target some foe, preferably a squishy, and use Lamentation (150-160 dmg). It's an incredible spike. 1 problem though - you have almost 0 survivability and no self heals. Take Armor of Earth with you since you will just be standing there when your skills are on CD anyway.
3. Restoration - Um, in RA it would work, as randoms don't coordinate spikes well. In TA though, nope. Teams WILL spike your squishy, and the only way to counter spikes is by having monks. Your heals are efficient with Attuned ashes up, but they are pathetic compared to DF monks, and you cannot offer as much protection as a Bonder.
The single-target Channeling works if your foes stand still or don't rush to you. But in PvP, you should be constantly moving. And most single-target channeling spells require you to be next to a spirit, which is rather difficult to do. So I scratched that out as a valid PvP option.
For ABs though, drop Grasping and take Clamor of Souls and Cruel was Daoshen to obliterate NPCs.

One problem with Communing is that you cannot control which targets your spirits attack. That's one gripe I have with Rits atm. If only you could...then Rits would be a MUCH more viable class in PvP.
Btw, Punishing Shot Rangers are your worst Nightmare as a Communer.

For PvP There are really only two choices
Ritual Lord with Shelter+union
Or
Weapon Ritualist (Communing+Channeling) , Use guided weapon and warmongering weapon to buff warriors/rangers/sins/dervish/paragon , and vital weapon isnt bad to throw on your monks

Yea the CoS Spike works wonders in AB i hear. I wanted to try it for the TA but i am not a fan of it myself. However though not as fast i had a fun CoS spike with a sin, rift, teleport in, ancestors rage, cos, teleport out(can cast rift again while waiting). this also leaves room for a self heal(be it rit or sin). iono it was in Aspenwood did pretty well. But again not as organized as TA.
hmm ill keep testing things n will post ne progress or failures. I will also take into account the thoughts alrdy posted. Thnx
