Strange Mouse Problem
Duros
Hey all, I've been having this weird mouse problem that only occurs while playing guild wars. I've tried everything that the manufacturer recommends but nothing fixes it:
When I'm playing sometimes my mouse cursor will become totally unresponsive or chugish. I am using a wireless mouse however this problem never occurs in any other game. I dont have the Logitech drivers installed because those cause more problems than just running it as a plug and play mouse.
I appreciate any help
Specs:
Mouse: Logitech MX 610
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Ram: 1.5 GB @ 3200
Video Card: 6800 XT

Bump for great justice.
I know that disabling cursor smoothing in window helps, but it also makes the mouse impossible to accurately use.

If you have spares, try other mice.

Install the Logitech software drivers and simply uninstall the Backweb items.

do you have a cordless dect phone nearby, because that can cause interference with wireless products as they use similar frequencies?

I have had similar problems, and I use a Logitech MX1000.
Do you use a headset with GW (and not other games?). I have found that sometimes the audio subsystem interferes with the mouse communications. I've moved my receiver around anumber of times.
However, this isn't alway the issue. Sometimes, out of nowhere, it slows down to nothing. I pick it up, gently (an sometimes not so gently) tap the mouse on the desktop, and voila! She's good again.
