Hello, here's the problem. Each time I try to enter either the UW or FoW with my factions ranger, I get the same message telling me that I must leave the group because I'm not ascended. Now, I have completed all desert mission, Dragons Lair AND I have also completed the "Closer to the stars" quest. What can I do to resolve this?!

Maybe you missed one of the 2 15-point attribute quests on Noob Island in Factions.

edit: But wait...my Canthan ranger hasn't been to the desert at all and he can get in to both.

Not sure, but try going into UW/FOW thru Cantha. I've hear that this will give you the ascended status to fix that problem.

He does not need to do that since his Ranger is a Factions character.
He finished Closer to the stars (faction's version of ascending)
and said that he did all desert missions and dragon lair (which means that he beat the doppleganger) since thats the only way to get to dragon lair.
Did you try to get to fow or uw from Zin Ku or ToA?
If all is ok then contact support.

go to augury rock - after completing the 3 desert missions. talk to the 'guy' (forget his name) in the middle of augury and go into the area.
you have to beat your doppleganger to be ascended
then you can access uw/fow

Either Bourbon hit it, or try accessing from both locations, or you'll have to contact support if those don't work.
IF the first two dont work, it may be than rerunning Nahpui qtr mission while waiting for support to get back to you clears it up.

Completing Closer to the Stars quest does not assend you. After completing it you will be in Nahpui Quarter. You must complete the Nahpui Quarter Mission to become accened in factions. Also a Factions born character cannot accend in Tyria and vice versa. Unless they have changed that but, I don't recall reading that anywhere.

This mission is analogous to Ascension from the Prophecies Campaign. Only upon becoming Weh no Su will you be given admission to the Realms of the Gods in Cantha. (There is no way to access the Realms of the Gods in Cantha without completing this mission.)

Yeah, kratimas hit it; the quest "Closer to the Stars" doesn't make you "Weh No Su." Actually completing Nahpui Quarter makes you "ascended" and then you should be able to access UW/FoW.

As to the main problem, I solo farm both FoW and UW on my Rt (from ToA), and I've only done Elona Reach. It seems you do have to complete Nahpui Quarter to access them.

Beating the Dopple is considered ascended. Doesn'tmatter where the character was created. Tyrians completing Nahoui can enter FoW/UW without doing teh Tyrian Ascension trials.

I switched armor on my warrior...and then i couldnt re-enter FoW/UW until I beat the dopple in my new armor...just like having it infused...maybe try that

Just something to mention. My Factions monk hasn't gone Weh No Su. I brought her to Lion's Arch, ran her to the desert, ascended and went str8 to ToA and have been 55'ing UW since. Perhaps a few rules have changed since release?

I had something like this happen to one of my characters I died in the ascension battle just before my doppelganger did, I got teleported to Dragons lair but did not ascend or get the XP for the win. I had to go back & rerun the ascension fight & win without getting killed, then I got the XP and ascension.

mmm I think Ole man Bourbon is right. Try checking if you got all atributes, also if you done Nahpui quarter, you should be able to enter in TOA, and no , dont take henches lol
