Err 7's - Can anyone analyze these visual traceroutes?

Well, after the mass of err 7's made gw unplayable last night, I thought maybe i'd try running some traceroutes from work during lunch.

Interestingly, the analysis from one online IP trace program says:
"IP packets are being lost past 'Limelight Networks, Inc, LLNW-1' at hope 14"

I did a trace for: auth1.arenanetworks.com (216.107.240.231)
at http://visualroute.visualware.com/

similar to the results I got running "tracer' from my home machine.
maybe someone who's more network savvy can explain what I'm seeing here?

I was wondering if it would be more helpful in pinpointing the network issues if everyone who's experiencing extreme err 7 and lag problems did a "tracer auth1.arenanetworks.com" from their machine.

Any sensible server host would disable access to their network with the exception of needed ports.

This is a security insurance against port scans and to minor extent DoS attacks.

Simply put, the hop where packets start to get lost (you don't get a response) is where the internal network is connected to the internet. Packets are still arriving, but unless it's game traffic, servers are not allowed to respond.

So this is normal behaviour.

Limelight Networks is apparently the network provider Anet's data center uses.
