Cross-continental characters and heroes.

Interesting this has never come up. So on the preview island we unlocked 5 heroes with one being variable between ranger and ele. What happens when you bring a character over from the previous chapters... you skipped this part of the story... do you get the heroes? I for one will be absolutely pissed if my other characters don't have access to like the monk heroes.

Depends on if we are going to miss the whole Istan... It's possible that our characters will start Nightfall from Kamadan and therefore might acquire heroes from the island as well... At least I hope so.

Well, at the end of the preview, the guy talking to the troops in the training area speaks about new recruits to the sunspears (from the shorewatchers) and "heroes from other lands" filling out their ranks. I think its safe to saw we start in the newbie island regardless of where we came from.
Some quests (and rewards) are locked out to non-chapter characters though. I'd like to see some new "cross-chapter" heroes that we can take from our homeland abroad and vice versa.

I guess there will be a quest for the non-Elonians to unlock Koss too, because the quests for the Elonians starts on the Island of Shehkah, which is not accessible any more once you've left it (akin Monastery Overlook).

I hope any of the 6 original "main characters" can be heroes...
I wanna see Devona with a sword

I'd go for Devona and that lot being heroes. Then I could leave them behind, and be certain never to see them again. Yay! -_-

I doubt the Heroes of Tyria will be hero henchies in Nightfall. Even if we haven't already seen them as normal henchies in the trailer, they couldn't be hero henchies - otherwise there would be two instances of them in many of the Tyrian/Canthan missions.

Tetris, that's what I thought too... Wasn't all sure of it, though. Thanks for confirming it.
Anyways, cross-continent characters have to have Koss, since he is needed for the primary quests in Istan.

We already know what all the hero's will be: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hero

It would be cool if they made cross-continent heros for the older games, like a quest in factions to get the henchmen who dont leave shing-jea island,(like mai and the 1st shock henchman) and in tyria(a dwarve warrior, maby a shining blade as a hero, or the ascalon proffesion teachers).

That list has 13 heroes. Out of those, only 2 has unknown professions. Goren is described as "ironclad", so likely a warrior. Norgu is an actor, thus likely a mesmer.
That makes it 3 warriors, 2 monks, 2 eles, 1 mesmer, 1 ranger, 1 necro, 1 assasin, 1 paragon, 1 dervish and no ritualist!
Do you honestly believe they will give you 2 monks, 3 warriors and one of each of the rest of the professions EXCEPT A RITUALIST!?!
That is obviously not ALL the heroes. And as I said before, they say it on GuildWiki. That it is SOME of the heroes.
