But we all start like noobies, and have to luring what build the best fore you ore your team is.
The point is, let them talk and lissen from some wan ho give some good advices

It's not really that hard to warrant build speccing, in my opinion. To each his own...

He can say that all he wants, as I said, your choice is your reply. If someone from a higher guild speaks to you like that, and you're blameless as far as you can see... they're not worth your trouble.

Fish finished 2nd on the ladder last season, and have been relatively successful in HA too.

I have been saying the same thing as Avarre, why doesn't anyone get it? Yes it was bad for him to say he's better than you. But there's no rule saying he can't. If I wanted to, I could sit here and say "I'm richer than you, you suck at PvE", or "I'm higher rank than you, you suck at PvP", and thats fine. I have the right to say it, and there aren't any rules against it. It's not an issue of if it's true or not, because for all you know it could be, but the fact is, I could say it and despite me being an ass, there's no reason for me not to.

I think it’s you missing the point I’m making here, (reading above a few others have got it).

My interaction with people, real life or in game, (I do not differentiate), is based upon a moral code of behaviour that I was fortunate enough to be taught from an early age. The majority of people on GW have also been fortunate in this respect but a few unfortunately always ‘slip the net’

It is only a game after all, but the interaction with other people is real and that’s the point I’m making!

Maybe it’s just me, but I do not talk down to people, I try my hardest to be polite, patient, and considerate under ‘all’ circumstances.

Maybe it’s because I’m somewhat older than the average game player, but I do not want to believe this to be the case.

You are right, if I do meet people in game with a bad attitude then I simply ignore them. Fortunately, in my experience, most players are friendly and polite and this interaction is, for me, what makes GW a pleasurable and enjoyable experience.

The OP has a made a valid point and, on the whole, a reasonable discussion has resulted.

The OP should accept these attitudes as a sad fact of life and, like me, should both pity them, and perversely, find somewhat amusing.

in my humble opioion i think this thread has gone on far to long about an arguement between two players which genreally invloves of "your a jerk" "no your a jerk". in other words you can argue until the cows come home about such a topic, but having a higher guild rank does mean that you are better at gvg, but since the orignal poster mentioned that the only reason why he was called a noob was because he was slow to "reskill" this arguement seems pointless. some guy says your a noob for being slow to reskill in pve, meh just laugh it off, gaming is for relaxing, correct me if i am wrong, so it isn't really worth argueing the toss, when the usual outcome is just going to be " your a n00b", "no your an eliteist arse" and so on.

They are like #12 in the world... Im pretty sure people who play in their gvgs are skilled as getting high rank is not exactly easy. It could be argued that their players who participate in the gvgs are good players / experienced players. Maybe the person is not involved in gvgs. Atm we dont know all the facts.

Remember all that we dont know the full story. It is only one person's side of the argument and it could be biased. Maybe he/she took like 5 mins to try and set his skills while they waited only to say they need to start again after they start as he messed up... The first post is hardly well laid out or easy to read either and first impressions are meant to say alot about a person....

Doesn't matter whether they have the right or not, the fact is anyone who acts like that is an asshole plain and simple. Why would anyone even get on like that because of a game? It just makes them look like a 10 year old.

People tend to forget that this is a privately owned operation and has additional rules than what the federal government covers.

Let me simplify some things then...

There are two camps here. There are those that find such a statement a terrible insult, and those that would just disregard it because those people really aren't worth your trouble.

The people that seem to be all up in offence over this are the ones that believe they have a right to not be spoken to. You're entitled to your view of other people, but people that follow the point me and Talon hold... we'll be laughing to ourselves as we recognize the person can drivel about how they are superior... and we simply have no reason to care.

Your ideas are fine, but assuming others have no right to speak in such ways is what's causing you problems and offence; and it's just going to cause more trouble than to accept that people can and will be like that, and then dealing with it in your choice of ways.

Sorry, but the offensive remark here wouldn't fall under any of them. Namely being, if such singular remarks were an offence against the Code of Conduct, the vast majority of every MMO population would cease to exist.

Sure, you could try to get him on that charge, but considering how relatively minor this is... I doubt you'd get anywhere.

People in top-ranked guilds are big headed, it's a fact. Some guy in HA [unranked] from Rus Corp was looking for a r9+ group, stating he was in rus corp.

<3 people that talk with 0 clue what they're saying. Have you ever looked at a gvg ladder? They're like top 15 right now.

To be honest, this thread should be closed. All it is, is noobs ganging up with each other because they're upset that they aren't nearly as good as other people in the game. And they get so worked up, because somebody that is obviously better than them let's them know that. The majority of GW is PvE noob garbage players. This thread seems to be their monthly meeting to rage because they can't get their r3, or got turned down by a high ranked GvG guild.

Sorry if this thread seems a bit angry, but to be honest...if a guy from Fish want's to call you a noob...he's earned the right, or you earned the title.
