Ghial farming?

So i've not been playing GW till just recently (surgery recovery) and saw this new spirit monk thing, well I have a 55'er who I was ok at playing and tried this build located here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mo/E_Solo_G

For the life of me I can't get this to work. I watched that video and sure enough he dies in 10 seconds, yet when I get there and do this he doesn't die before Sliver Armor wears off and even after 2 or 3 casts he's still up and going, then I usually screw up at this point and die hehehe

Anyway I just don't understand how the random damage from Sliver Armor is always hitting the boss in the video even when I try to get as many mobs following me to the boss as possible so that it activates as often as it can.

Could use some help please.

Oh and I'm wearing a set of the Shing Jea beginning armor, along with my Tengu mask and as I don't have the money for yet another set of 55 runes I've used majors and just die a few times to get my hp around 39 ish.

EDIT: Stats were 12 earth, 13 heal, 9ish prot, anything left divine

Works fine for me, I grab all 3 groups across the bridge then run straight across to Ghial and hit it...dunno why it won't work for you..

Imaginos - as for the "random Damage" it isnt random, Sliver Armor picks a target and stays on that target until it either dies or leaves the range of Sliver armor. Sliver also always picks Ghial when he is next to you.

If he isnt dying in the one cast, you probably dont have all the tings attacking you yet. Aggro all the groups around there (the ones on the other side of the bridge and everything) and wait for all the knights to come up an d start hitting you before you trigger Sliver.

Hmmm thought I was pulling all of them. I'll try again and make sure I get all the groups.

Also, I wouldn't use that build on Wiki. Just use your standard PS, HB, Sliver Armor, Glyph of Con, Bless Sig, Bless Aura, Balths, Mending and run to the rit boss and die. Once you have the DP, equip your -20hp offhand for 13 health. This means that during the entire run, all you have to do is have PS up, there's no need for HB and it's only once you've aggroed all the groups and are about to aggro Ghial that you want to hit HB.

It's a little hard to manage, but if you can get so that Ghial is the only one in adjacent range when you set off Sliver Armor, it should hit him guaranteed.

You may just be getting unlucky with Sliver Armor though.

I was wondering if any1 knows how sliver armor picks it target. I assumed it picks the target with the highest level or most health however today i decided to see ifi could use sliver to kill bosses in GF and SF i used an SB PS build backed up with mending to counter the degen out there a bit and i had no real trouble getting to the boss (gorrel whatever was the first i ran across) i activated sliver and sliver started hittin the summit warriors i eventually died cuz PS got interupted but im rly wondering why sliver didnt hit Gorrel but the warriors

any ideas any1?
