Hi,

I have Guild Wars Prophecies with Factions added on to it. I went and bought Prophecies again and tryed to add the key to my original Prophecies/Factions account and it wont add. I was wondering if this is possable as i want the extra character slots, hence why i bought it again.

I personally think the ingame shop is is over priced. £6 for an extra character slot seems alot to me. Also the price of both games can be bought for £10 and the site sell them for £30 each.

This is why i bought Prophecies again, for the extra character slots and was hoping to add these 4 slots to my origanal Prophecies account. is there a way?

you only get the extra slots when joining two different chapters. You cannot add multiple of the same chapter and get the character slots. Even when you add two different chapters together, you only get two extra slots, not four.

You can create a seperate account to use the 4 slots from the new copy you purchased, but you will not be able to combine them.

Touching upon the issue of pricing:
When you purchase the game keys from the online store, you are not only purchasing the key, but also the convenience of not having to spend money or energy making your way to the local game shop to purchase the box. This has been stated at least one by Gaile Gray on these forums. The cost of character slots is mathematically sensible, as each slot costs approximately $10 American, and the game itself costs around $40 American. The game originally comes with four character slots, placing a value of $10 American on each slot.

Touching upon your question of merging accounts:
No, you won't be able to add four slots (or any) to your current account by adding a key for another. In addition, I do not believe it is possible to add a key to an account for a game that the account already has access to, unless the key would unlock new content (such as a CE key being added to a regular purchase). I am not 100% sure on this, as I have never personally attempted it, however your inability to add a Prophecies key to a Prophecies+Factions account supports this hypothesis.

You may as well just create a new account with your recently purchased key.

1) Well known fact that with merging of new game onto old you get 2 char slots, so assuming you woulda have gotten 4 is a bit silly

2) this means purchasing for £12 2 slots would have been cheaper than buying the game

3)You pay more instore for the games at is it instant play, and no hassle no packaging, just the game, convenience = pay more

4)Support will not and cannot add 2 prophecies accounts together for people who baught 2 proph's before account slot purchasing was available, so you will not get, no matter how hard you try, the proph added again.

5)Sorry you wasted your money,
