Simple Solution To Botting & Ebay
Ecomancer
There is a simple fix to all those overfarming and ebay nonsense. We have a GW store, why not let players buy gold from it? If the pricing is such that it is cheaper to buy gold from the store than some other site, it is forces ebay in game items companies to aggressively change their pricing to ensure that farming gold and selling for cash remains profitable.
In my humble opinion, this will reduce botters by a huge margin and eventually we will see less of them around. Not only that, but it also means that a lot more golds will come back to the community because there would be less farming. I am sure we can agree that overfarming is done mostly by employes (if they can be called such) of these sites.

Or we can just remove FoW and 15k armor, and not to mention those annoying golds! Infact, thats a swell idea!

this idea is completely stupid and they should never ever sell ingame stuff in the store

We won't offer gold for sale, for instance, or "instant-levels" or other things such as that. I don't imagine you'll see "Uber Items of Deadliness" that cause all others to fall to uselessness. We care too much about balance and about the viability of our game in the short-term and in the long-term to take risks with sales that would unsettle things. |

An awful idea which will never happen.

I simply couldn't care less for people that buy from e-bay. Also botting doesn't botter me all that much since my reward of buying fow and 15k's won't be effected in any way...
SO, I realy don't care if they sell or not in-game gold since it does't unbalance the game....that said, I don't think they are gonna do this.
Latter.

no way this is going to happen, and i dont encourage it as well. what is the point of me picking up loots, chest running and coming up with builts to farm. selling in-game spoils a lot of fun

Yeah its not so much the bots everyone hates, but rather what they do with their gold and items they get while botting, namely sell it. Which does seem to lead to everyone hating the bots but meh technicalities.

More gold in the economy = massive inflation. Massive inflation makes everything in the game much more expensive, and therefore almost unattainable by a player that is casually playing the game.

They've all ready stated this will not be happening.
