Has the new pending salvage option changed your play yet?

For example, I got a gold req 8 embossed aegis shield yesterday from a chest with, if I recall, a 19% chance for +1 strength. Normally, having no warriors, I'd probably sell to a merchant and be done with it. However... with the impending salvage on inscriptions coming, I now see a nice shield for Koss to play with. It's now in storage.

Anyone else looking at drops differently?

holding onto a sword that I may want to put an inscription on, holding onto a bow that I may want to take an inscription from, and another bow that I may want to put that inscription on...

yeah, good point. we can now "dump" good weapons we dont have a use for at that moment.

i did buy a cheap 15^50 longbow that i'm going to put on a storm bow of mine. i might end up having too many inscriptions laying around in a few weeks after release.

Definitely. I'm starting to hold items with good potential mods and/or inscriptions to salvage *after* the changes take effect. Today I can't be sure whether I'll get an Insightful +5 mod or the Health +22 mod, but in a month it will be a sure thing.

Not that I buy "uber" items anyway, but I definitely won't be buying them now while we're in this pre-market crash phase. I've already seen folks trying to unload that stuff.

What if it doesn't work like the majority seems to assume it will? More complaint topics? OMFG why can't I salvage all these 15^50s???

I've already saved up a few weapons with decent inscriptions on them, as well as mods that I know later on I'll be 100% certain to salvage.

As for the heroes, I'm most likely going to use collectors items on them, so I saved a few up now.

I'm keeping more clean skins, and selling items that are just useless (no perfect mods at all) to make room.

Oh, and yeah, we'll need more storage, for all the Heroes' items if nothing else!

I doubt that we'll have a 100% success rate on salvaging what we want, we can just focus the salvage the way I read it...

Storage wise... I'm really hoping for more slots added to the 2 bags we carry... I can't seem to fit all my different armors in there >.> and weapons

I've been collecting max damage, low req items with undesirable 'enscriptions' that have skins i've always fancied in hopes that the new salvage options will allow me to convert them to more desirable status for use. =)

(hopes for that req8 +5 energy chaos axe)

I have a couple High Req bad skinned 15^50 and 15 -10w/ atking that I got recently that I decided to not merchant just yet, They arent taking up any room I need, so I figured why not.

has it been confirmed that you can salvage the 15^50 mods from a weapon?? i tried several times in the Beta ...not 15^50 but other mods and never once was able to salvage anything like that..nor was i asked which mod i wanted to salvage...yes i used an Expert kit...but maybe i was missing something??

they are working on it still and therefore not active during the event

I’ll just do it the easy way, since there a lot of collector’s items. I won’t feel the need to burn up my resources to just outfit heroes with max weapons. Plus if something should happen and they get lost some how it won’t be a big deal.

Yes... I have begun questing in area's I would normally not bother with. Now I have a nice collection of useful MAX weapons, bows, etc.. with req 8. All are waiting for an inscription of choice to be placed upon them. Normally I would have salvaged these items now I hold onto them.
