Today I've completed the Ascension with my rank 2 survivor character from Factions, and after I've defeated my Doppelganger : 0xp reward. Nothing ! I'm sure, I didn't won any skill point, and I look my xp after every quests. Now I'm in the Dragon's Lair with same xp amounth than before.

With another character, two month ago, survivor and from Factions too, I've earned 50k xp. I don't understand

.

Is this a bug ?

Edit : I didn't look the cinematic after defeated the Doppelganger.

PS: Sorry for my weird english I'm french.

not sure. but the first thing that comes to my mind is that if u are already ascended in nightfall, ascending in prophecies doesnt give u any extra reward

Or perhaps you didn't beat him within 1 minute, which is what the bonus requires?

Someone talked about ascending in Nightfall, I'm sure he meant Factions, did you do Nahpui Quarter mission? If so, you are already ascended.

Stemnin - Doesn't matter, You can "Ascend" on both continents, even if you are "Closer to the Stars" you can go to Tyria and and beat your dopple for the 50k.

This is a newer bug, in the other thread (I think the one linked to here, havent checked) people reported that the 50k exp is actually given to them sometimes IN THE CUTSCENE, so you if skip the cutscene you dont get the exp.

I skipped the cutscene, so I'll never see those 50k xp. I've done the mission again with the cutscene, but I didn't earned the 50k.

^No, even if you skip the cutscene in a regular mission and dont see the Shield with the Sword go across it, you will still get the reward for the mission.

I dont think the doppleganger fight would be much differenent.

I didn't see any reward in the chatlog, so it's a bug that works only if you skip the cutscene, only in this mission (previous reward works).

The key words here are "From Factions" get back to your own country, and stop being greedy. But really, it would be more abused if they allowed double xp, ascension in tyria and cantha.

this is just like every other mission/bonus in tyria...
ascention is 50k - hence the 50k *should be* awarded to anyone factions OR prophesies born who completes the mission.
There was another thread about a week or 3 ago basically about the same thing, as such it IS possible that the awards are buggy for some reason. Perhaps anet is attempting to make the 50k ascention bonus go away? I dunno really, there was also another thread within the last few days where the op could not access UW/FoW from either entrance point who had completed both augry rock ascention as well as dragons lair, and nahpui qurter... which could in fact be related?

Mission I believe is 50k and bonus in under 50 sec. is 50k and I took Screenshot of all of mine when the cutscene came on.

That is not what this says in the link I provided.

There have been screenshots posted here of the actual reward given - 1k for mission, 1k for bonus, 50k for ascention

I'm fairly sure that my newly recreated Tyrian ranger didn't get any 50k from ascending about two days ago.
I did get bonus and my character is considered ascended now, but there was no 50k reward to be seen after I killed my evil twin. Didn't notice from my total exp either that I would have got the 50k.

When this happened to me a while back I had not just checked my exp lvl so had no way of knowing if it was just a graphic glitch or not. I didn't open a support ticket because of this. Since the op is going for survivor and checking exp before each mission then I think a support ticket is warranted.
