Hi all,
I'm trying to farm the Stormray monk wand Southeast from Cavalon, and haven't been able to put together any solo builds on my own. Search turned up one thread suggesting how to do it as a SS necro, but I don't have a necro. So, I was wondering if in the 5 or so weeks since that other thread has been active, if anyone has any other builds for farming this green. Look forward to the replies

Oh, P.S. the group is KaySey Stomray (smiting and healing monk), 2 creeping carps, and 2 or 3 irujkundi (ritualists with disenchantment).

Not sure if its what you are after but me and my friend kill it with a basic word of healing monk with Inspired, Reveal and remove hex to get rid of the drain strength skill and a dragon slash warrior with dolak and drain enchantment.
Killed him some what near 30 times and no wand yet though, we also carry on and kill the other naga monk boss not far off who drops a cool looking divine staff.

That's a start, thanks. At least it will be another option to what I've been doing as a domination mesmer with a SS necro and monk from my guild. Thanks for the reply.

I do it solo with a N/Me. Build is:
Spiteful Spirit
Arcane Echo
Empathy
Reckless Haste
Spirit Shackles
Drain Enchantment
Spirit of Failure
Energy Tap
The trick here is to use the npcs to your advantage, namely Quartermaster Hector. Once you aggro the group, run back to him. Once the carps turn their attention to him vs you, turn around and SS them to death. If you see an enchantment on them, drain it immediately as it is Balths Aura and will kill the Quartermaster pretty quickly. Once the carps are dead, do the same thing to stormray, but use spirit shackles also so he has no energy for heals. The quartermaster should be able to keep himself and you alive without problems. If you happen to mess up, there's a convenient zone into maishang hills nearby that you can just go into and back to reset everything.
