I looked for a thread, but didn't find one. I freely admit that I could have easily missed one right under my nose.

For the most part, the heroes were pretty good. They didn't use their skills too poorly, but some things they just didn't seem to handle well.

In my case, one that stood out for me was an echo nuker build I threw together for the Zaishen elementalist: I would sometimes hit echo, meteor shower, meteor shower manually. If I didn't micromanage it, he'd cast arcane echo -> mantra of resolve.

I only had one trip in the wilderness with him as echo nuker.

Edit: By mantra of resolve, I actually mean fire attunement. he did have mantra of resolve, though.

Even when Koss is surrounded by 6 guys, he won't use cyclone axe. I always have to manually click it. When I do, all his adrenaline skills instantly charge.

My MM hero summoned three golems while the previous ones were still alive and while the hero had enough energy/time for a fiend/horror.

How/where did you get the necro hero?

Most people just made the ele hero a secondary Necro and made him a MM (of sorts).

Just two random spellcasters with necro secondary.
12 x fiends lvl 12 > any mob on the island.

My Monk hero was the one I had the most problems with. The other guys I put together builds that were easy to use, and didn't require many skills to be used a specific times.

Biggest problem with my monk was trying to use Inspired Hex (which is understandable) as he would IMMEDIATELY cast whatever hex he inspired off. But besides that, skills like Words of Comfort or Dwayna's Kiss were just too much for him to think about, and he never managed to use them consistantly at the right time.

The warrior wouldn't always use Sever before Gash, and sometimes he used Dragon Slash while he had the rest of his skills already charged. But he seemed to be the best of the bunch. He used "Watch Yourself" exactly like he was supposed too, and really only seemed to use Heal Sig when he was really in trouble.

my monk heroes OWNED the event.

tossed in a WoH monk and a RC prot monk (both monk slaves) and let them do their thing. though on hard missions id open up their interfaces just incase me (or thing being kept alive) needed an emergency heal.

Lol, that sounds exactly like my Koss... Dragon Slash, Gash and Sever Artery. Great Rangers think alike

The 1 thing that i REALLY couldn't figure out was with the ele henchman. I made him into an E/A Starburster with Inferno, Flame Burst, Fireball, Deaths Charge (etc). 1 fight he died... fair enough its expected with unpredictable monk heros and shitty monk henchman. What i found out once the fight was over is that he was dead in the middle of a group we weren't even fighting! Deaths Charge ftl...

The monk hench/heros were awful, instead of hte Sister Tai/Mhenlo/Alesia style of instantly healing you with Prot Spirit or Heal Other the moment you dropped below 90% health they would literally just sit there till they were below 30%.

The main advantage is that you can give every caster henchman Leech Signet/Power Drain and they will pretty much never miss it. Or you could give the Mesmer Hero (when there is one) Psychic Distraction and another hero BR to give yourself a nice little portable Mesmer Construct.

The only heros that worked for me was a modified iway warrior for koss and a boon prot for my monk-ie. the monk healed farily consistently and spammed e drain alot, but she started out by sometimes e draining first. The war was really good because i just gave him dmg skills (cleave, exec, pene). i realized taht if u make ur heros do something more complicated than atking, they WILL mess up.

Another favorite of mine was:

I played a dervish, so I'd use an enchantment that did AoE damage and inflicted conditions when it ended. I'd hit the enchantment and immediately hit the attack that would end the enchantment...and in that very short period of time, one of the monk heroes would put Protective Spirit on me, or the monk hench would hit me with healing breeze.

I used the attack that recharges instantly if it ends an enchantment. I spammed it three or four times without being able to touch my own enchantments. Good times were had by all, I'm sure. I never bothered to change the hero monks' builds simply because it wasn't really a nuisance, just kinda funny. I got to spam a lot of damage thanks to their neurotic need to keep HB on me.

Koss refused to use 100 blades (100 blades>dragon slash at 2 swordmanship)
I had to click it manually every 8 secs
