2 weeks after release and no Pre - Order within 100 miles of me

Unless they all sold out in the first hour on 9/15, there are still no pre-release boxes in any store within 100 miles of me.

Even though Best Buy is clearly listed as a retail outlet that will carry it.
They only say they are on the way.....but have no idea when they will show up.

Has anyone heard from anyone *official*, like maybe Gail Grey, as to why these are not on store shelves?

nope, i can;t find one either. They always screw it up, its a big problem to get the preorder things every time
I wish they would just get rid of them, and maybe give us the bonus weapons and stuff only if the game key is added within a week of release or something

I have EBGames and a GameStop within 30 miles of me. Neither store carries it.

So US residents can't preorder the game online and get the key emailed to them? I know amazon.co.uk do it, a lot of european stores do too.

I bought mine in EB games here in atlantic canada, EB games here are always stocked, and it was 1/3rd the price i expected it to be

you have to order them online if im not mistaken i ordered it in a pack with the CE edition so mine wont come till the 27th besides who needs it untill then :P

I am suprised that Anet would bungle delivery of the Bonus Package after the Faction CE debacle. They said several times that they had learned their lesson and would avoid these distribution issues for future releases.

I guess the only silver lining is that for the hardcore GW collector (you should see all the crap that appears in my inventory when I type /preorder), there is really nothing special in the bonus pack. The character slot is purchasable by other means and the weapons aren't unique.

I work at a best buy, and we just got our first NF pre-release yesterday and sold out the sameday. But Best Buy is carrying them now.

I still havent recieved mine from EB ...called them up and they said they are having problems getting them from the distributer. I cant believe that!! /sarcasm

Well the online gamestop.com store availability is wrong, because I went to the store where supposedly they have 4+ prerelease packs and the workers said they never got any.

I found mines at CompUSA and they only had one left on the shelf, my EBGames also near me got them in stock but it was after the preview weekend even though I really would not make a big deal about trying to find it until it starts getting close to release time and you want that extra character slot it really has nothing else to offer but that. But if you really want it now start checking again at your local games stores they should be getting them in and also check CompUSA and Best Buy if they are near you.

this is really ridiculous already....last night around 1 AM, it said this was in stock in all the best buys around me...so i select in-store pickup. today, apparently its not in stock everywhere, andi highly doubt it sold out EVERYWHERE, especially since they were supposed to keep one for me.

same here i just came from my closest Best Buy in my area and its been 2 weeks and still not there..They said it was unavailable...I was so angry becuase they said it would come out teh the 29th and they don't have.

and also, the company doesnt know how to handle the situation...like, ideally, i should be able to order the preorder online, and it would also include a preorder for best buy. amazon should also do that.

ANet didn't bungle it, blame the stores themselves, such as EB for selling 'bundles'. It wasn't officially a preorder package so they probably felt they'd sell more if they bundled it with the release and upped the price of the release a bit to cover the addition.

No, I do blame Anet, because it can't be a coincidence that seemingly every store is either sold out of these things, and/or don't know how to handle the situation...even amazon and best buy! I am just going to do the EB bundle because EB is the only store that has it, and plus my friend works there and gets like a $10 discount, so I don't care about spending the extra 5.

If 1 store had messed it up, i'd blame the stores, if EVERY store messes it up its obvious that the distributor completely screwed up the communications. THE GAME HAD A HARD STREET DATE OF THE 28th according to Best Buy and gamestop internal systems. Stores get street dates from the distributor and are not allowed to sell an item before that date (so the store's usually dont even recieve the item until that day or a day or 2 before that, even if their warehouse has them). Now if it was messed up in both major companies systems for the same date, i'd have to assume that NC Soft screwed up the communications.

I do not blame A-Net. They dont handle distribution, they pass the info to NC Soft who handles that portion of it. All A-Ney does is make the game and fix the game and keep it running. NC Soft handles getting it into our hands. So really we cant blame Anet or the stores. NC Soft dropped the ball on this one (and the factions disto). Im sure Anet did all they could to try to get NC Soft to fix their distrobution, still NC Soft is the parent company and if they dont get it right, there's really not much A-Net can do about it except apologize to the customer and ask NC Soft to do better next time.

(on a side note, i just paid $20 to have my pre release pack overnighted to me from gamestop online, Got it the day before the event. I didnt care about the cash and wanted the weapons for the event) (and i work for best buy and my brother workd for gamestop, so i coulda gotten it for free...)

I went to 8 local (ish) stores looking for it, several had it listed as available, and a couple store clerks said they had it over the phone (bet they didn't even look). I finally gave up and ordered it in a bundle pack. *sigh*

I have the same problem, none of the stores nearby carry the preorder.

Anet/NCsoft seem to have problems with distribution..First the Factions CE, then the Nightfall preorder.

It is a bit frustrating anyways, I hope I'll be able to find it soon.

I ordered my nightfall from my local gamestop. They said that the pre-order pack comes with my ordering of the game for free, but they didin't have it. Luckily they said they would have it in a week. The next weekend I go back to check and guess what? They still don't have it. Now its is two weeks later, and you know what they are probably going to say when I check tomarow or sunday, right?

Seriously, this is pathetic. I really want the pre-order pack before nightfall comes out. There are sort of screenshots and little movies and stuff of nightfall that will be way better to see before I accually get nightfall.

Wait, if there is already this much trouble with the pre-order packs, does that mean there will be even more trouble with the CE? I really don't want to have to change to normal edition just because of a delay or something similar to what we are currently seeing with the pre-order packs. If i have to wait for more than a week past its release date to get my CE, I'm changing to normal, and probably never going to try to get CE again...
