Henchmen are really annoying me lately.
- Casters charge directly into the melee and act as if everyone of their spells are touch skills
- They are SLOW to get out of AoE... if they do at all. I watched Alesia spamming spells while standing in a choas storm... They also seem to enjoy the feeling of maelstrom.
- They won't use ressurection signets in battle, and it seems they simply won't use them at all to resurect certain other hench... Very annoying when they stand around a dead corpse dumbfounded and you have to wipe to get your monks back.
- Warrior hench follow you around when you are trying to kite... As im trying to get away from some baddy on rampage, instead of the warrior hench continuing to attack, they follow me around!
- Monk hench won't stop to heal themselves or any other if they are trying to catch up to you... It's VERY annoying when you're making a retreat and instead of pausing for a moment to cast the occasional orison, the monks simmply keep running until they or everyone else around them dies from a slow degen...
Here's what needs to be improved:
- Make monks and casters stay at full range of their spells! There is no reason they should be closer than they have to be.
- Improve AoE flee reaction time.
- Make hench ressurect during battle.
- Program warrior hench to be more aggressive and less content to break away from a target to begin following you around.
- Program monks to continue healing even if they are moving.

Some of these were improved with the new AI that was put in for the event weekend. Just wait for them to put it in permanently once the bugs are fixed.

No, I'll tell you what they need to do. Restore the henchmen to how they were 5 months ago before they broke just about everything.
I'm hoping that the reason they are so awful now is that they are halfway between new AI and the old AI, which makes them not very good. Maybe when NF is released, we'll get good henchmen.

I agree. We NEED an AI update for the henchmen.
I've seen Sister Tai cast BL through Diversion, Dunham casting just about every spell he has through Backfire. Which is, you know, not smart.

To be honest, each time they say they update AI or have improved them they seem a little dumber. Although, I must admit I did like the improvement where they fixed the henchmen from walking straight through mid-air or through a mountain; only to be killed underground or worse yet stuck underground causing you to have to port back to a city.
And of course it's nice and all that they can play Mario bandstand and 'who can jump the highest' with me; but as it stands having the hench spam their rez sigs as soon as someone dies, or not prioritizing heals, or both monk hench running to the same point to rez one person, etc etc etc. makes me feel a bit uneasy each time they 'make them smarter.'

If anything Nightfall is gonna bring even dumber henchman than before...
Khim was absolutely shit at healing and died constantly.
When targetting enemies with 5% health or less left naturally you change targets so you don't have to waste a half complete spell cast or wand them. Usually the hench just finished them off... in NF they changed targets WAY too quickly.
Koss is absolutely frigging useless if your a caster who might actually have to kite.
They agro groups that you aren't even fighting (my personal favourite is the fight where the Ele Hero 'Deaths Charged' into a group we weren't even attacking half the screen away...).
Even though some of them are obsessive at breaking agro... some of them are either insanely persistant or too f***ing stupid to move round the monster attacking them and still get stuck!
The hench AI just keeps getting worse.

It would just be nice if Orion&Cynn would cast meteor showers instead of firestorm as well as meteor instead of fireball.I would but some good attack skills in Stefan and Thom.Devona is just fine the only usefull one.
