A question about mergeing accounts!

I was talking to someone in Shing Jea today and they told me quite a bit of information, was wondering if anyone knew if its true or not ^_^; They said if I purchased a Guild Wars Colloctor Edition from say the first game, that when I merged it with my current account ( which has original and factions non c.e together) that my current chacters will have the C.E efftes. Also that this will work with Factions C.E as well they said. OR....Is it the NEWLY made chacters will have the speical effects added to them? <.< I really do not want to waste my money!! anyone with any info would be greatly appreicated! If you're in Europe; you can still find the Prophecies CE with a bit of effort. But in America I've seen them for around $250.

Well the thing has been out of print for over a year now and every place online has the price jacked waay up if you can even find one. I suppose that if a local retailer still has any in stock, they would sell for the original price. You'd have to live in the middle of nowhere for them to still have any though. >_<

Lol I've been to ebgames.com and other places and I find the C.E edition there..like 60 bucks! 250?! wow..just wow!
