I heard from somewhere that Arena is having guild wars free forever. But after I download the game, it says that I need an access code. I'm confused. Someone help me here.

Well, it's not "free," there's just no monthly fee. All you do is buy the game at a store for $39.99-49.99, put the code in, and you can play for as long as you'd like. This was one of the biggest pros for me playing Guild Wars, and it paid off big time.

Yep, the only thing you need to buy for the game is a one time purchase of the Retail CD Key. And when people talk about the game being "free" they mean "no monthly".
