Ok I should explain something.
Cast Faithful invention and keep it (according to guildwiki this should never end unless your health drops below 50%) http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Faithful_Intervention
Vital boon will give you a 158 heal when you remove it which is why I added it to conbine with sig of piety or any enchantment remover.
I've changed the build skills a little
Mystic Sweep or Eremite's Attack
Pious Assault
Avatar of Bal {E}
Aura of Thorns (or any enchantment of your liking)
Faithful Intervention
Vital Boon
Conviction
Rebirth
Before anything happens cast Faithful intervention.
When running into mobs cast Aura of Thorns THEN Vital boon.
When you need a heal use Pious Assault to remove Vital boon if you accedently remove an enchantment that was applied after you cast vital boon use it again since it instantly recharges. Recast Vital boon after you remove it.

Hmm well the enchantments I have in the build get cast right away before the battle and you only remove them with Sig of Piety when you need them down and then you recast them

1, Why Sunspear rebirth sig instaed of rebirth (other than it costs no energy)?
2, Where can I obtain skills Conviction and Signet of Pious light?
Thx ScorpiusX
Edit DOH! I,ve already got Signet of Pious Light 1. I just perfer it so I could make my secondary to Paragon to unlock skills. Rebirth is a pretty good tweak.
2. Signet of Pious light is in the first skill trainer and I unlocked conviction with Bal faction and then unlocked it so I'm not sure where you can get conviction.

Mystisism would return an extra point of energy if you had +1 in there. Maybe a major in mystisism? You're certainly not pushed for health
I try to have as much health as possible so no majors or Sups for me. |

Are you using Aura Thorns for the Bleeding? Otherwise you can use Veil of Thorns + Armor of Sanctity for damage reduction.
Avatar of Balthazar + Conviction + Armor of Sanctity vs. conditioned foes = +40 armor + 28 armor + ~15 damage reduction (vs. conditioned foes).
More often than not, foes have some sort of condition, so AoS would be useful to have. It's good for farming.

Hi guardian,
Hehe took your advice and did some hero battles to get conviction unlocked. I'll be honest I'm not a PvPer, so I went in expecting some butler type guy to turn up with a silver serving tray with my ass on it
Out of the 4/5 hero battles I played I lost all but 1, mostly with scores around 20 - 5/7, the one I did manage to win was 20 - 7. And throughout all this I personally DIDN'T die at all. That was without conviction and using Mystic Sweep instead of Eremites Attack (I found in hero battles you tend not to get more than 1 enemy on you at once, but I had at least 2 enchantments on at all times).
When I did go out in PvE I also didn't die for once so in conclusion I've goto say that your build has for me been a great sucess so far. I,ll have to see how it goes later in the game as I'm still around the command post area at the moment.
Oh yes did I mention some of those who beat me were moaning coz I wouldn't die
Thx a lot Guardian for a great build

I've been considing a AoS+Viel of Thorns build I might post later.

Hi Guardian,
I also found this build to work well using Avatar of Melandru too, not quite as good but +200 health and imunity to conditions, plus all the benefits from the rest of the build works together pretty well IMO. Only problem is the 25 energy needed for Melandru.
I'm also using Windwalker Insignia on all armour pieces, +5 armour for 1 enchantment +5 for 3 ench +5 for 5 ench works pretty well if you use a monk hero as a protection monk, I've nearly always got 3 enchs on me and I get 5 quite often, combine that with Avatar of Balthazar and Conviction and its really tank time.

someone mentioned, "why sunspear res instead of rebirth"
i noticed today as i was doing a mission, that sunspear res actually brings them back to your location. blew my mind. the downside is that you can only use it once on missions
upside is that is is low cast, no energy, and it recharges if you arent in a mission.
I was using this build on a mission i did today, and im happy to say i love this build.
i only died once, which was because i wasnt paying attention to the enchants i had on me.
very good health upkeep on top of my hero monks spectacular reflexes.

Ty I have sentry armor (because it's cheaper) but Wind Walker insigna is definately the best for this build. |
