I did use to do that, only got 2 deadbows and 3 sephis (only counting the good ones
). Also, why do u run with other ppl, its faster to do it solo..?
I still think inscribable drops are more worthwhile these days.

2 guildmates got 1-1 magmas in 1 run, a q12 and a q9, q9 +30hp single, other I dont remember (the q12 +30 -2 maybe)

anyone got a map to show where the last chest is, fire islands is a first for me.

For chest running Hell's Precipe you can use the old Mo/R running build or if you have a warrior:

My warrior is still stuck on Abbadon's mouth, but if im ever able to get past Abbadon's i will give it a try.
Quick question: Is chest running in the Poisened OUtcrops and if so what chests if any should you avoid? ( The only reason i continue to run there is because im clinging on the hope that i will get an elemental sword drop, but im only on my like 130 chest there.)

What is the best place to run if you only want gold weapon mods and don't care about the weapons themselves?
I am wondering since, in the process of collecting on mission bonuses that I hadn't already got yesterday.... I got a gold axe drop quite randomly in the Bloodstone Fen mission... and while it wasn't max-damage, it did have a perfect Enchanting wrap and Sundering hilt... both of which I managed to salvage (miraculously enough).
So I'm figuring I might try finding some level of intermediate chest to start running in order to harvest the mods off the golds...
Might anyone make a suggestion?
Maybe somewhere in Nightfall so I can harvest Inscriptions too?

if you want perfect mods, try farming the dolyak riders (or something like that... they ride dolyaks) in Iron Horse Mines. for some odd reason, they almost ALWAYS drop non-maxed gold items with max mods.
the area is easily reachable in the northern shiverpeaks through travellers vale (i think, can't quite remember).

To answer an old question, the only chest that matters is the one near one of the 3-phantoms groups at the end, before rurik.
If you want magmas, then every chest near a titan group matters

I have run about 500 - 700 chests in Poisoned Outcrops. So far, only 2 elemental swords. A req 9 and a req 13. Both of these swords were by the elementals (crags and mesas). One by the Ele boss and the other was by a group of 2 of them. If you just want an ele sword, I would stick with those chests only, though I get alot of other nice stuff in all the areas here. A couple Sephis axes, a few Sup Vigors, an Icy Bladed Axe, Canthan skinned Fire Staff, and other things. The only chests that usually give me nothing good are the ones by the Djinn's, but I still open them too. The area is different now though. Used to be 5 chests every run. Now you can get anywhere from 2 to 5 chests in a run. The gold to grape ratio isn't the greatest anymore either, but it might be because I have run there so much?

i never ever open chests near margonites, have never seen anything worthwhile drop (tho a sun and moon shield is something missing in my collection )
