Farming Help Requested

Hey Everyone!

I'm quite new to this game so please bear with me. In-game, I go by the name of Aya Darkangel or Sophia Holyangel. One is a necromancer and the other a monk. My question would be how people gain so much money thru farming.

Can anyone suggest a good farming area for my MM? I have AL 60 Minion Master Armor and Use the skill build of Blood of the Master, Karei's Healing Circle, Vampiric Horror, Bone Fiend, Flesh Golem, Taste of Death, Healing Breeze and Ressurection Signet. My attributes are 16 Death, 10 Soul Reaping, 9 Healing and 3 Blood.

Any suggestions on how and where I can farm well? And if you can tell me any means that I can go solo without henchie it would be most appreciated.

Also, I'm limited to Cantha only as I do not have Phrophecies.

Is there no other area for which I can solo aside from Pong Mei? I only have factions so no trolls for me.

UW and FoW, though 2 manning UW is soo much more profitable (~3 runs an hour is close to 40k an hour or more on 2-man uw).

underworld and fissure of woe. you get in when your region has favor in temple of the ages or zin ku corridor. these are high level areas

No not true but you will have to become creative in how to make your builds.

Read up on guild wiki and look what skills you are missing and what might potentially replace them. Look at the stats what they provide etc. Alot of the prophcies skills have an near equal in factions although some dont .....

Hoever most of the ele builds will be unreachable but I think a 55 monk should be possible...

Hoever most of the ele builds will be unreachable but I think a 55 monk should be possible... I think its not only the skills you are missing (Shield of Judgement or Spiteful Spirit), but also that off-hand item (-50 life, or something like that), that brings your life lower towards 55.

As far as I know, Shield of Judgment, Spiteful Spirit and the off-hand item are only found in Tyria (I think the off-hand item is in Pre-seering).

Don't fret, you can solo in Factions, but you won't get easy money in a short time that Prophecies characters get to enjoy.

I don't farm, but I know I can solo in certain areas (but don't ask me where, I don't know off hand). I'm always cautious, that is my way of soloing (that and my Necro is from Tyria - N/Me).

btw Use + energy armor not mm one because it is much more verstile and you shoudnt even getting hit as a MM
and you can go in the Elite missions (the Deep and Urgoz Waren) for some farming

The offhand Pick Me mentioned can be gotten from the quest, Cities of Ascalon. Or you might be able to buy one in factions for roughly 3k.

I've been to the Wiki Site. I based my MM build of there. But now I'm really considering farming to get some gold in as Monk Runes are quite expensive .

I read in another topic about a possible A/E Build that can go Solo. Is that build possible in Factions only or do I still need Prophecies?

If yes, can anyone suggest a good build?

the A/E is possible Cantha only. Probably not all of the variants but most should be possible.

If u don't know if a skill is Cantha/Prophecies, just use the wiki. Search for "elemtalist skills" for example and use the quick reference. U should be able to identify the skills by the picture and to the right u will find information of which campaign the skills is (Core is available for all).

Thank you for confirming that. I will be making an assassin soon enough.

However, can anyone tell me what's the best possible Canthan Build and Skills for a Solo A/E?

I checked the other lists and threads but most contain Tyrian skills so it wont work for me.

remember to look at the bottom of any skill listed on the wiki as Factions has many Prophecies skills duplicated with new names. At the bottom of many skills are skills that are related, some of these are actually the same with a different name.

Example:
Prophecies: Vampiric Touch = Factions Vampiric Bite

Hm... Create an Assassin or an Elementalist and farm Sunreach and the Contructs... all the skills for that build are factions only or core skills... http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10043137
