I'd like to see how that area looked before the searing, especially the area with the large inpact crater but...

It would have to be a storyline which pre-dated the current one. It wouldnt fit into the grand scheme of the game, so I doubt it.

They probably wont make a game revolving around Pre-searing, but we can hope in a later chapter, some sort of magical character can bring us back there.

Who knows, they might make an add-on chapter or expansion that you can buy. But what it'll boil down to is if they can make money off it. Currently most people who want to see Ascalon the way it was will just roll a new character and have it stay there until they get their pre-searing fix and then leave.

While that does seem interesting you'd have to begin a new character to explore it which is inconvenient for those without free character slots and things like that.
