Best build for presearing
Sword
I want the best build for killing stuff fast in presearing
basically i just want to gather a small amount of money so that i can buy some duplicates of a quest reward item and some red iris flowers
Running skill is almost a necessity , so either ranger or war
any ideas

Afaik you don't get any running skills until post, dodge would be your first in old Ascalon. I don't play warrior but I'm assuming that it's identical. Monks are good for farming the catacombs - twice the damage vs undead. If you're a ranger, ignite arrows isn't bad for spreading the damage, but if you really want to nuke then ele would probably be the best bet.
Just my opinion though

It's over so fast it doesn't matter. And yeah, no running skills. Maybe something with defense would be good instead.

Why running skills it doesn't take that long to cover the whole map and it is about half the size of post.It is easy to farm since there are merchants right outside something I wished that was in post.It depends on what you are and what weapon you choose to use.It is just try something that you want and you can also mix weapons sonce thier is no weapon attribute runes in pre.It also depends on how long you plan on being in pre.

ranger monk probably for the catacombs.
troll and orison should keep you healed enough.
add in bane signet.
and you're sorted.

lol i dont see why you would want to farm pre searing but .
I used to solo farm Charr in the northlands with my ME/E, simple backfire and phantasm the monks and necros, and use firestorm and other fire skills for the warriors.
The trick is to stay behind something like a rock or a wall so they cant atack you, because those charr hunters hurt

I know you wanted running skills (not sure why in Presearing) but for pure fire power. I killed as many bears as I could agro in presearing with a Monk / Elementalist. AOE spells only Fire Storm / Holy Wrath. Boring but you can level pretty fast for presearing. Works well in the catacombs to.

I've found that the easiest profession to simply run through pre to get a certain weapon or item, (the charr at the gates sword .eg) is the ele. Just put all points into fire. You can raise an Ele to lvl 5 in a few hours and easily beat any quest in pre.
With an ele, you can do the bandit raid quest over and over to farm dyes. The enemies don't run from firestorm in pre

I see little point in this, but...
Wa/mo with cyclone axe and Symbol of Wrath?

Before they updated the monster AI I used a W/Ele to a very good effect. I would argo 2 groups of charr or more. Then hit fire storm while useing healing sig as much as possible. Most groups were dead fairly fast.

Ranger is not good for pre becuase they rely on the weapons for damage
A ele is the best becuase they don't even need a weapon and have more aoe skills

I always liked conjure phantasm. Take Gwen with you after finding her flute and she will heal you (there is one profession she doesn't heal, but I don't recall which). Probably a ele/mes would be good for damage. The healing isn't great with a 2 second cast time, but at least there aren't any interrupts afaik. Warrior would be able to take the most beatings and can do good melee, ranger has the pet and ranged damage, monk has best healing and the 0 energy smite, and the necro can create minions.
Good luck with your flowers.

Would it be better to have an E/Mo or a Mo/E? Considering it'll be mostly solo

For this it doesn't really matter as there are no runes or hats to boost attributes. Monk primary gives healing boost and elem primary offers bigger energy pool.
Does it really matter, it is pre-sear for pete's sake!

Monk/Elementalist is the best, IMO. Energy storage doesn't really matter, since Glyph takes care of Firestorm, and Divine Favor boosts your heals, which is handier than a higher energy pool.

With the exception of fighting Charr in Pre-Sear; I can't see any huge difference in builds that would make farming any faster/easier, etc.
Considering the amount of skills you would have access to it's really not feasible.
I do recall my Elementalist/Monk didn't pretty well raking in mobs and loot but that may have been before the AI changes.
