As a big fan of Guild Wars I have played both PvE and PvP, but to my dismay I have seen the lack in armor skins you can choose from PvP. I am I huge fan of all the 15k and Fissure of Woe Armor that a PvE Character can purchase. However when it comes to PvP characters lack the fancy and flashes armor of their PvE counterparts. I know you can use a PvE to do PvP, but I am proposing the introduction of a way to unlock rare armor skin through the use of Balthazar Faction. It would be like unlocking modifications for a PvP weapon.

So basically you'd unlock it with your faction then?
Sounds like a good idea coz tbh i find too that PvP chars a re a bit in the cold on different armortypes/skins

Good idea but FoW skins and 15k Sets should not be unlockable as that defeats the purpose of buying them in game. However I think it would be cool if the armour sets worked like canthan armour sets whereby appearance doesnt tell what stats the armour has. You should be able to choose the armour stats and then choose the skin for each piece.

/signed but not signing the FoW and 15k Sets

No, that is why choosing armour for PvPer's is based on function rather than attire. The effect of working for special armours for PvEer's will become lost if you can just become a PvPer and gain whatever you like from there.

I think his point was - through a lot of effort/time PvP players can unlock PvP unique sets of armour, DIFFERENT to PvE sets - to allow them to stand out from the crowd a bit

PvP characters shouldnt care about fancy nonesense. They are there to fight, kill and be deleted and remade over and over.

PVE is about fashion contest...PVP chars are made to be deleted moments after they are created and fancy armor doesn't belong there.

Latter.

I always thought PvE characters were for vanity and aestetics while PvP characters were all about functionality.

lmao... agreed, plus most PvP'ers dont care about looks to begin with. They rerole so much that it is merely an annoyance to have to decide on armor skin... RA ftw

btw Mister O, easiest way to ID wammos in RA is to watch for someone using mending...

We can't even get 4 weapon slots and armor swaps, and you're concerned about how your pvp character looks? heh.

I think that any armour that you purchase in PvE should be readily equipable in PvP.

You want FoW or 15K. Make a PvE character, earn it, cap your elites, and play with it in PvP!

This was my reaction to reading this...

I don't see why PvP charactars can't look nice, except for "that's just the way it's always been." But, quite honestly, I don't care that much about it, it's nothing more than fluff. I'd much rather have PvP charactars that are actualy balanced with PvEs.
