just got back into GW, bought factions and started running around collecting delicious (assassin) skills - but now i'm at, i donno, Seitung Harbor or something and have only found a handful of quests which give me new ones. The skill trainers' catalogs are all full of juicy looking ones which I want but in prophecies at least, going to the trainers was like admitting you were so bad at the game you just needed to buy your character development. So uh, what's the deal? Did I just miss a ton of important quests or do I have to go to the trainers to get sweet sweet skills?
(ps i used to go to http://guildwars.gameamp.com/guildwars/skill to find skill quests but apparently they don't have any info on canthan skills.. anyone got an alternate skills database that has trainer / quest info?)

You can't get skills from quests like you used to in Prophecies (You can get skills from certain starter quests though). You now have to buy every single skill you want.

thanks i just discovered guildwiki that gave me the same conclusion. can't help but feel that it's a bit of a lame turn for the game to take... o well. guess i'm off to buy a bunch of skills.
