Armor Salvage

Sheessh I have no idea where to post this, so feel free to move mods.

But what kind of returns do you get from salvaging fissure armor?

I doubt anyone has tried it due to the extreme cost of the armor itself. but I'd figured to test the forum before I tried anything in game.

Theres a few people that have done this.
My monk set i got 15 ectos from chest.
My mesmer set i got back 10 ectos from the legs.

I might have them mixed up but it doesnt matter. For some reason i didnt have my sup vig on my monk chest peice which was great bec. i also got that back.
I started another account which was CE for both chapters so i wanted that to be my main, plus i wanted my mesmer to have the survivor title. Well cause mesmer's are GODS

Not always. Like any other salvage you can get any of the parts in it. I salvaged Monk Obsidian pants (Ascetics stats which I crafted prior to them needing shards) and got 4 shards.

You salvaged fow armor O_o.

Before FoW (Obsidian) armor didn't need Shards? Wow.

Not quite Phoenix. Before, Monk and Necro armor didn't need Shards because they require demask and other expensive materials already. All other FoW armor did require shards.

If you have runes on your armor then they are usually first thing to be salvaged. If there are no runes then Ectos usually come. There are exceptions, and remember I have never done this (Only like a few FoW armors, also have never had any peices, even those that aren't mine).
