Bad luck times 2
Mister Overhill
I have lag once in a while, but almost never disconnect. Last evening, got kicked off breaking the final seals in Abaddon's Mouth. Tonight, system re-booted at the same spot. Hardware specs look fine. Bad data file maybe??
Jeremy Winston
Possibly. Is there anything else in common between the two events? Such as the amount of time the system was on? How long you'd been playing GW?

First incidence, about 5 hours -- second, about three. All the stats looked very good after reboot. Nearly new Antec PS, nearly new PNY 6800GS, matched PNY 512 ram. Microscope reveals no problems anywhere.
Homebuilt rig (lot of miles on old N2 MB and Athlon 2700XP) runs Oblivion, F.E.A.R., Doom 3 without a hitch.
Haven't done a clean install of GW since April, 2005.

Well, installing a new dat file seemed to do the trick. Completed Abaddon's without a glitch, running Hardware Doctor in the background to keep an eye on things. No problems whatsoever.

Maybe the Mursaat are using a new special skill.
Mighty Boot: 5E 0C 3 hour recharge.
Spell. Target foe loses his connection with Guild Wars for a random irritating and downright stupid reason.
Just bring Spell Breaker next time and you should be fine. Or you can just log on again before the 3 hour recharge.

Poison Ivy
Just log off before they use that skill on you, don't give them that satisfaction ;O
Yeah or reinstalling should do the trick.
