Like it or not, almost all of us have gone through pre-searing in prophecies. Regardless, I have a question about pre searing. I have heard people say that you can get lvl 20 in pre. Others tell me it was nerfed so you couldnt. So whats right and wrong? AND I was completly confused by Gwen. After giving Gwen a certain amount of Red Iris Flowers, she gives you a tapestrey, but whats it for? Again, I've heard rumors that gwens mom is in the UW but I dont really believe that. Pre Experts, hack away at my questions

You used to be able to get to 20 - now you can get to about 16, 17 tops. Apparently enemies no longer earn levels by killing players repeatedly (which is how people got to 20 previously).
The Gwen thing was a broken quest that was never fixed/finished, or so I heard over a year ago.

Alright so the Gwen thing is still a myth or something that some hasn't really solved. Or a bug...Hm....

I'm pretty sure the whole Gwen thing is over. Anyone remember that update in March or whatever that said 'Removed a useless NPC from Stingray Strand. That was one of the parts of the Gwen story, and I think Anet is tyring to take bits out of the story that hint that there is one.

I beleive you can still lvl to 20. Here's how it was explained to me:
Ally with a necro (or be a necro yourself) go out and create an army of horrors. Goto a rez shrine, sac yourself to death. When you respawn your minnions will be hostile, kill them and gather what xp you can.
Note: I am sure that it is a painfully slow process.

O_o if leveling up with charr is a slow process then i dont want to find out how slow that one can be lol.
Anyways everytime i log in to pre searing all i see is .

I haven't been in presearing in awhile -- I was assuming there were sac skills available, if not then that won't work.

As explained by Faer in this thread LESS THAN A WEEK AGO, it is still possible to reach level twenty in pre-searing. It's not that enemies stopped gaining experience; the problem is that they no longer follow you to the resurrection shrine and slay you over and over while you watch television. You can still grind levels from Charr...it just takes much greater effort than was previously necessary.
