To the mods: I know this is primarily a Guild Wars forum but alot of the posters on here are super duper helpful and they may know how to fix my little problem.. so i'd be greatful if you could let this thread stay.

Basically after 4 months of not playin WoW i decieded to reinstall the game today... No problem as of yet! Finally got the game installed, logged in and accepted the t&c... As you will know it asks you to download the latest update of the game but when doing so it gets to 27% and crashes my pc! Anyone got any ideas how to fix this without having to reformat my pc...?

How much free disk space is available during the download? I don't know if WoW uses the %temp% or Prefetch directories, but you can clear those folders without doing any harm to your system. Just a shot in a dark...

WOW downloader and patch system is the one of the biggest jokes (if not the biggest) in the gaming industry... The patches cause problems always, when I played I would have a 1-2 hr "unknown entity" issue which would not let me login, or the patch would not dl, or take forever to dl.

When I played wow, I always got the patches from Filefront, cause that piece of crap Blizzard calls a DLer. With the $ they bring in for WOW addicts, you think they could at least attempt to make a decent delivery system.

Download the latest patch from here if you must... http://browse.files.filefront.com/Of...owsefiles.html

If you still have issues, it is your machine and not the patch or dler.
