Henchie Bug

Is anyone else having issues with the healer henchies being so single minded that they do nothing?

I had the whole team die except for myself and Sister Tai. After breaking aggro and getting back to the fight scene she stood over Talon and another henchie for 3 minutes and did nothing (my rez sig was used). When I edged close enough to the other healer henchie Sister Tai went running in and suicided into a group of 10 or so Am Fah.

I can understand that the order of rezzing is PC->Healer NPC->everything else, but if there is no fighting going on and the healer henchie is standing on the head of another henchie, can't she break the trend until the other healer henchie is in range?

They are simple being henchies, this topic has been beaten by the dead horse, it not uber its a hench if its bad just go with a guildy freind or even... a PUG.

I do hate their aggressive ressing behaviors.

The henchmen absolutely will not res in any other order, and will prioritize ressing over anything else. It's infernally stupid, but they have to give henchies *some* disadvantages or nobody would ever PUG.

yea youd think... accept the whole "Hero" think defeats that concept

Heros can be better than players in pve advantages being u can controll their skills and u know what conditions effects they are be affected by giving you the uperhand on even organized groups

being able to be your own 4 man team unlike anything else...

you can set your heros anyway you like your skills can compliment their and vice versa and you can acomplish perfect timing

i think for the most part pugs will become a thing of the past and mostly will only be out of desire to team up with real players once in a while for entertainment purposes...

you being able to play 4 of your own guys will make soloing so much easier... i doubt anet has grasped how huge of a thing Heros are going to be as far as altering the playstile and interactiveness of the entire game

Sometimes Sister Tai won't do anything until she resurrect Jamei.

As others have stated, the AI has a strict res order priority and will often get stuck in a loop where they refuse to do anything until the highest character on their list has been ressed.

Other monks and ritualists are both top priority. I haven't observed many other tendencies beyond that... Except that Necromancers, for some reason, rank consistently last. I've observed this both on my own necro PC and on poor 'ol Eve.

It's not always possible to go with a guildy or a PUG. How many PUGs are willing to go kill one boss for a cap and then quit? I should be able to run this stuff with henchies, that's what they are for.

Poor ressurect coding does not impossibility make.

On the contrary, I had to die to get the henchies to rez. That is a bug. No it's not impossible, but the prospect of having to kill myself because the healer henchies will not do their job due to a dead end code loop is a bug.

Dismiss it all you want, pishaw my bug report all you like, this is a bug and it needs to be fixed. It doesn't matter if the subject has been beaten to death, posted on several times, or discussed countless ways, it's a bug and ANet needs to look into it.

I didn't post in a whiny, bitchy manner, I offered a solution to the present coding issue (rez what is in range until the other healer henchie is in range). If you have something to say, other than to dismiss other's efforts to make this game better, please post away. Otherwise, go troll elsewhere.

That's not a troll, he started the thread by asking a question and my reply was an answer to his question.

answer- No, no she cannot. That is in no way hostile nor is it trying to get the conversation off track. It's a perfectly legitimate post.

On second thought, moderators just kill this thread as there seems to be no way to have a reasonable discussion on this topic in this forum.
