Equipping your Heroes....

I'm gonna go with greens... or, yea maybe collector items... dyed to make it look "unique" though

You can't dye collector / greens.

you can dye collector weapons but not the greens.

you can dye divine path greens (why are they even green lol) I have each of my ritualist's Straw Effigies a different color.... saw a monk one time with a black Straw Effigy... My restoration Effigy is dyed silver, but black is pushin it (although it looked Freakin Sweet)

Forgot about runes, I got greens/collector items and stuff all ready for them though.

i'm saving stuff now and anything good i get stays for the heroes. also the dervish and paragon have my preorder stuffs.

I personally think they should just make runes and maybe even weapons go by unlocks instead of buying them. That is just gonna make rune prices go stupidly high and cost stupid amounts to equip your heroes.

i buy a lot of cheap stuff that will do.

reqs 12 super weapons for 2-3k

as for casters. i have a few 10/10 staffs they can use. or collectors stuff/greens like other people.

finaly i can empty my mules.. i have 3 chars full of golden near perfect stuff that no one wants to buy anyway so now i finaly get to use em.. like mursaat hammers 20% when hexed and tons of other stuff. not popular to sell but perfect for heroes... (heroes will not be better with a 15 over 50 weapon than 20% hexed, 14 over 50 and all those other mods that noone buys anyway... not real players either...)

but how do you customize weapons for your hero? i know they can use wapons customized for yourself, but will they get the extra damage?

I have some greens and collector items ready for most of my heroes. Then there are a lot of "almost perfect" items that will be good for him. Fellblade with 14%/stance and +28 health will be Koss' primary weapon I think.

Just call me Farmer Ted...err Jane...lately. I've been farming like a mad woman to get stuff for my henchies. My poor mules are groaning under the weight of various weapons, mods, and runes I have set aside for my heros. It may be time consuming now, but weapon prices are sure to go up after NF is released. Think about it, before you were just buying stuff for yourself...now everyone with NF will be equiping themselves and their 2-8 heros of choice. Since hero's are really going to be a HUGE advantage to have, or course you will want Koss to pimp the best axe and shield. From a purely vanity point pre-NF people would admire each others weapons/armor, now people will admire each other AND what your hero's are sporting. I know I know there are purists out there that will say who cares what people think of what your wearing etc, but the truth is alot of players like to be the Big MacDaddy Pimp and sport the GW bling.

Will be interesting to see what the actual surge in rune prices will be, if only they would stack for better hording. But I digress...basically I'm farming like a mo'fo so I won't have to buy at inflated prices during the initial phase of NF.

Collector Items / Greens / Random drops for my Hero's. I'm glad we won't have to buy armor for them though, it would get expensive. As long as they are max items, I'm fine.

If people insist on having pimped items, I will gladly show my Chaos Axe on Koss. Who's to know that it's a no-mod white Chaos Axe.

Lots of Ice Breaker Farming for my Koss, as for my monks Kephets Refuge and a collectors Smite Staff, will work just fine.

I have several ELB's from ToPK to hand out to all of my Rangers. Their cost is cheap.

I have the money to buy wands and offhand items from weapon crafters for any Necro Ele or Mesmer HERO's I find.

Everyone else gets pre order weapons and I will be more than happy to modify them as needed of course.

Any Greens I find will also go to any HERO's in need. I think overall the price of Greens will go up as people will hand Green Items to HERO's rather than sell them.

The New Salvage system will save an enormous amount of money for your HERO's. Lucky for me All of my main characters will have top-level equipment already paid for.

I'm going in without anything. I'll craft stuff as I need it.

Omg, if heroes are character based, it'll be hell to level all of them to lvl 20, i have 5 pve characters. Also cost tons of time to equip them. I heard that pvp characters can get to use heroes too. Are those account based? or do I choose pvp weapons for them as well in the creation screen?

Universal 10% HCT/HSR staves for the casters and Zealous weapons of Defense for the fighters. Minor Runes for the Monks and probably for the other casters too, so I can change their builds with ease. The fighters will get Superior Rune of their weapon, which will be a Sword for whatever Warrior Hero I will have in my team. No Axes or Hammers for the Warriors, because I'm not interested buying new Runes every time I'd like to switch weapons so I'll have only Swords for them.

Most of the weapons will be cheap stuff from Collectors/Crafters. Might use green and gold weapons, but only if I find them myself and I have no better use for them. And weapons will be customized, of course.

I bought a Brohn's Holy Rod and the Stonehart for my MM's monk hero, because I plan to run him through Nightfall first. Of course I paid 10k more than I should've, but I'm impatient and buying as a set for more gold is quicker than spamming WTB for a long time.

collector items should do for almost anyone, even new players. its not like heroes will need gold perfect 15>50 max modded crystalines for you to beat pve.

Collectors, greens and whatever golds I have sitting on my mules. Though
I've started buying runes for the classes I expect to take with me.

Im ready... Just need an Ice breaker for my ES/AS Hammer warrior Hero.
And one for my Warrior. and some green $&%* for my casters. oooh and some shields. Aww screw it, i aint ready!
