It's an online RPG so you can play with other people. Also, if you have a connection with a decent usage allowance, you can create an account and buy from the Online Store, if you wanna risk that.

Yeah. Buying a campaign from the Store results in that game being streamed to your comp via the login screen. Each campaign's about 1.5GB though, which is why I said "If you have a connection with a decent usage allowance"

For the record, Guildwars has no monthly fee, but that doesn't mean that it's 100% free, you still have to buy the game initially.
