a matter of concern... we jst had a new guild in our alliance, a guild consisting of 20 players, decently good but still a new guild...
on their first 10 matches they encountered for example
the punisher about rank 200 ish guild
black jokers company rank 300 ish guild
and several rank 400-600 guilds...
(they actually managed to win a few)
but still for a new guild to have to go aganst old "pros" doesnt seem right
and for a new guid to lose every match in 3 minutes, id say they lose intrest in gvg quite fast (welll our ally didnt but i presume this still is happening)
tho i have to say mopping the floor with noobs is kindof fun sometimes
so a kindof a league type ladder would be nice, a new guild starts at the bottom or a few levels above it and the pros will hang out at champions league
for each league consisting of say 500 guilds 50 best go up an 50 worst go down every time ladder is frozen... and the best 5 and worst 5 transfer once a week?
jst a suggestion feel free to solve this in another way/ make another suggestion or modify this one, this is jst the first thought that sounds like a rational solution to this prob
more "leagues" to gvg

The truth itself
Useless.

i think current gvg system already tries to pair up guilds ranked close together...
if the league was in place, you could wait 40 hours before a gvg can start.... (no oppoents are found)

The system tries to pair you up with someone who has a similar rating to you. Think of it like a plane flying search, it starts in the middle and then slowly spirals outward until it gets a contact.

umm... so its jst my imagenation that this guild went against rank 200?
i hope u r not trying to say theres no prob, cuz this, to put it nicely, sucks...
i think theres a reason to this tho,
since new guilds get tuff opponents they lose intrest in gvg, -> no lower rank guidls play gvg -> u get rank 200 guild to play gvg with -> u get ur ass kicked big time -> u dont want to play gvg since u have no chance to win -> another low rank guild that doesnt play gvg
if the system indeed tries to pair u up with someone similar rating to your own ... its doing really crappy job at it, i seriously dont think rank 1000 guild should ever have to go against rank 200 cuz there really is a huge diffenrence in both skills and tactics...
as said, if the league system doesnt sound too good, then try something else but please do recognice this as a problem
how about an option say, "no close match found... the closest match would be rank x do you still want to give it a try or wait for closer match" YES or No

the reason for this is most likely becuz the time ur new guild chooses to GvG, other guilds aren't doin so. Try switching ur schedule and do it at different times of the day. If we had more than one league... it wouldnt help, but make it worse.

You shouldnt get discouraged losing to high ranked guilds. You should learn from it. Watch their tactics and learn to make yourself better.
