Service Tweaks Debunked

This article goes into great detail as to why you should leave your services alone and never bother with "tweaking" them.

The opening post seems to cover only performance tweaking. It does not seem to mention anything about shutting down hacker-exploitable services to safeguard the PC's data.

Did you really need to start another thread on this?

Do you really think this is going to convince someone that's been disabling unneeded services for years to stop doing it?

Are you on some kind of crusade to be right?

That article doesn't mention startup times.

that is pure bandini.

remember for one little example that wonderful message service they were exploiting to spam people a while back?

i never saw one of those pop ups because that wonderful *service* was disabled along with several other *services* that are now off by default instead of on by default.
