Pre Order Items

Is anyone else having trouble equiping thier pre order items to newly created chars? Ive been having this problem on the new PvP chars i make and the new PvE char i just made, ive submited a bug report but is anyone else having this problem?

you use those? they are some of the worst items in the game.

Well, instead of a blunt statement like this.. I'll ask the same type back to you:

Even if they are the worst, they are yours for paying more for the pre-order, and a small token of saying thank you, even if they do, indeed, suck.

And even if they do, the preorder items have 'vanity' qualities about them. Some just like to flaunt them.

To the OP: I've heard this was widespread, I myself had no trouble, but some of my friends have, and I know more then you and my friends have this problem.

Maybe it's a bug or something. I dunno.

I had never even heard of pre-order items before i saw this
1. What are they?
2. Where can u get them?
3. Can ne1 post stats or screenshots..? would be interesting to see them

Im guessing no screen shot are available for this. Ive talked with some other players, they dont know anything about these items either.

there basicaly items that you got if you pre ordered guildwars.They have completely diferent looks,stats and names to normal items making them totaly unique.

I can confirm that if you trash the preorder items, then type /preorder to get them back, they can then be equipped.

And I dont think they are that bad really. They have to be worse than what you could get In-Game or people would be angry.

chimeric prism (my one) is pretty good :P Not perfect, but pretty good. Anyhoo, yes i'm having problems. My ranger has a great rod for trapping, but recently deleted her chimeric prism (for about the 7th time ). However I have no decent offhand now, so I decided to get it back last night.

Type in /preorder

Nothing. Tried 2 more times. Nothing. Tried closing inventory then typing it. Nothing.

Chimeric prism for a warrior pretty damn good, 16 armour +5 energy

I've been using the Canthan Targe with my W/N ever since I was able to get my reqs high enough to make it useful. Once I find another shield that has a higher armor rating with a +4 or higher energy, I'll consider swapping it out. The +30 health is nice, too.

I have yet to join a PUG where at least one member doesn't notice it and starts in with the "OMGWTFBBQwheredidyougetthatshieldImusthaveit! " I just wish you could dye it. At least it shows up a nice silver in the inventory slot.

Still using my Canthan Targe. Haven't had any trouble equipping it. But its my only shield, so it never gets unequipped. Not sure what to tell you. If there really is a problem, I'm not sure I want to delete mine and then /preorder to find out that it doesn't work and lose my shield.

I've been using my Ithas Bow since the launch and have yet to have a problem with it.

I am curious about the deletion rules. If you delete it and use the recover command do you lose any upgrades/dye that was applied?

yes, you'll loose any applied upgrades. /preorder simply gives you to default item as per the code you entered.

Wow, these items are beautiful.
