I'm at the point where I need to choose between the two. But here is the thing. I never PvP (I really never...) and I founded a guild by meself just to have a guild cape, so the guild factions do not matter.

So, do they have PvE advantages or disadvantages ?
Thanks for any tips.

Choose one faction, accumulate 10k of their faction points by quests and then go through the selected faction with all of your characters. It's the fastest way because you save time with getting faction for each one of them. After you have done, say Kurzick side, with all of your characters - apply the same method to the Luxons. After that it's just a matter of completing the quests you missed and exchanging faction for amber/jade. I've done this with 5 of my characters, but I don't like factions much so I wanted to skip the whole "faction war" alltogether.

There's only one real PVE advantage to choosing one side or the other, and that's only if you like to farm greens. If you die you rez at the closest point if you are aligned, otherwise you may rez in a totally different area and find yourself with a lot of mobs between where you rez and where you died.

Also, the explorable zone merchants won't sell to you if you are not aligned, and they won't help you fight (aside from the priest) if you pull enemies to their positions (such as farming Scar Eater).

I've seen the priest actually heal mobs I'm fighting. One time I engaged a group od Dredge just outside a town, retreated a bit not to aggro a Mantis patrol and got into range of the merchant and priest. The smeghead priest actually healed the Dredge Gardener for like 2 minutes until I got suspicious of the heals he was getting.
