I would like to hear peoples thoughts and comments
Who thinks there should be a Aussie server??

I'm a Aussie and I have realised how many Aussie's play this game. I would like to have a Aussie server so I could play with people in my own time zone for example: I play in Europe server and Europe only have favor when I'm asleep, if there was an Aussie server I could play FoW and UW while im AWAKE.

I'm Australian and I think there shouldn't. If there was an Australian server you would never be able to play FoW/UW because there Australian population is to small. They would rarely dominate PUGs to the point that it would be an Australian group and there are no Australian guilds around that can reliably hold HoH out to five wins.

I'm one of the most outspoken players about Australian issues and treatment within GW.
But sadly I don't think we should have our own server. There isn't enough of us to keep all areas of the server active. Favour would be a problem, but we have more then enough guilds taking that for US
rock it TTA and LAW.
What I suggest is you jump from the Euro Servers to the North American one.
The time and favour is better on the NA side.
Plus there are soo many Aussies kicking round on that server.
Hell if you need a guild I'm an officer of GW's oldest Australian guild, and would love to invite you.

It would be great to have our own server, but we all know there wouldn't be enough people. By the way, Australia is only one country and a low populated one at that - if there was a server for us it would include all of Oceania.
I don't like how the Guild window in game says "Home: America/Europe/Korea/Japan/etc", it should be possible to specify that your guild's home is in fact different from the server/s it resides.

Seriously think about it, we aint got the man power. And if its a Oceania server, IMO it would be just as bad as Euro. I left cause I like knowing what people are saying.... English FTW (But hey its the only lingual style I speak)
My guild has been in two alliances that are Aussie/Nz specific. And the numbers were still bad, There all right now in the new one.
Also Anet has spoken out saying it Aint going to happen.

I suppose there wouldn't be enough for their own server.
I tend to play during somewhat odd hours in the European server and I often see those lonely Australians in outposts. It's kinda sad to see them scattered between American and European servers. Now if there would be someway to put them all in either Am or Eu server...

You can petition for it if you want, even if A-Net grants it I'm staying in the ID's and quite frankly couldn't care less about getting favour for Australia.

As mentioned by other forum posters that are actually from Australia itself, one has just to ask how many of the 2 million players GW players are from Australia to answer the OP's question.
Theres already enough retail porblems for the game itself from retailers like EB games in Australia, cant imagine if gamming as a whole will gain wide acceptance from their masses least speaking of having enough players to justify for a server. Sadly Numbers not the overall skill of the players in your region determines this.

If an australian server was created, very few people would change. Instead i suggest upon winning halls, it would say "Ex Talionis [Law] (<-my guild) has won a battle in the hall of heroes! Australia has taken the favour away from Korea for America! ... lol

Maybe they should just rename the servers to something that doesnt use a country/continent name. Might stop people from yelling USA when America takes favor because it wouldnt be called the american server. lol. Or any of this other country bashing that happens.

OK OK... maybe there shouldnt be an Australian server.. BUT there should at least be an area mix up like... America/Australia server so all Australians go to the one server and not be split up in the European server and American.

Australian's get there Packs (Release material and Games; Chapters) from the European offices of Anet.
Why? Its some weird shipping and location idea by the company.
As such ALL Australians are defaulted (Without a notice or warning) to the EU servers.
Sadly we are displaced gamers. A large percent of us have moved to the North American Server to escape the language and Time Zone differences.
I know a larger percent either don't know about moving servers, or just live on the Euro servers.
So the problem arises that we will always be split as long as we have the option to choose servers, Personally I like the NA server.

I'm an Aussie and I like the idea in practice but I doubt it would work. Rather than an Aussie server, what about an Australasian server...
(PS: I'm the leader of a 2-man Guild, we know each other in the real world and play online together, usually at night. I don't want to ask any Aussies already in a Guild to leave it, but if there are any other small/tiny Aussie Guilds around, I was wondering if you might want to form an Alliance..? [we're Luxon aligned] for the purposes of Questing and Missions (and a little farming...). We don't PvP much, mostly PvE... Our Guild name is the "Australian Syndicate of Dark Forces" but goes by "Aussie Syndicate of Dark Forces" ingame due to limited space...)
