Am I missing something?

I have looked for builds and all i seem to find on these forumns are the solo farm builds. i could look through the pages in the build submission directories but i thought along with those directeries might be some actual builds not ones that need to be tested/evaluated for use. or do i just have to ask for a specific build if thats what im looking for? I have a general idea of what kind of build i wana find i just would rather look instead of posting.

If you look at the builds thread inside the profession you have, you will find tested builds (mostly). Many are for PvP, but there are some for PvE. They all work in PvE, but some are geared more towards PvP.

The threads not listed in the builds thread are either tested & tried, or possible builds. Most are tested (by the creator), but some are not (and they will tell you if it tested/tried or not).

If you cannot find the build that suits your purposes, then post in that particular forum (profession) and ask for a build that encompasses whatever skill(s) you want, and for what purposes (farming, PvE, PvP, RA, etc.).

For PvE with groups, almost any reasonable build will work. This is part of the reason there are few builds posted for that format; you basically just need to choose some skills that serve the purpose of your character (damage, support, etc). Solo farming requires a more specific build since you have to do everything yourself and PvP has a much higher standard for success, thus there are more builds floating around related to these pursuits.
