I'm trying to get my Protector's Title before Nightfall and need to know what build you guys would suggest for going against Glint.
My normal Inept build works fine against the bastards prior to her. But someone suggested a Degen build, which had me using Conjure Nightmare/Phantasm, IoR and Phantom Pain along with Tap and Drain to keep my reserves up.
Just hoping for some help. Dont be shy about suggesting a skill. As of last week I have every Mesmer skill there is currently.
(Also, I'm an Me/E for clarification)
Best build for vs Glint?
Arcanis the Omnipotent
Turbo Wombat
Since hexes last 1/2 their duration on her, I think degen might be a bit too much of an energy sink considering the damage you will be doing. Though some people don't like it, or consider it noobish, a constant stream on Wastrel's Worry casts on her might be more energy efficent for the damage done. One or two non-spell-only interrupts (eg. Cry of Frustration) could be very useful, espically for interrupting Crystal Hibernation. I would also highly reccomend Inspired/Revealed hex since it is invaluble when removing crystal haze. If I remember right, since crystal haze is a monster-only skill, it won't replace inspired/revealed hex (recharging it instantly) but you will still remove the hex from a team mate and get the energy gain from the skill. Other than that, just fill up your skillbar with whatever else you think would be useful and be sure to have a couple good monks and tanks with Wild Blow.

The trick with Glint is knowing exactly what her abilities do and then countering them. The rest is just damage, and to be honest you don't really need to rush that. Autoattacking plus your team's normal damage output should be plenty!
As a mesmer you can bring two of the three necessary skills to win; unfortunately you'll need to rely on a class with a stance-ending attack for the third.
(a) Inspired Hex. Glint uses two hexes which are her primary anti-caster measures. The trick here is that monster-only skills can't be copied via Inspired or Larcenous means... Which means that Inspired Hex recharges instantly. Make sure you remove the exhaustion-causing hex from yourself first, then move on to keep the rest of the party clean. Fortunately, you only need one skill slot for that. She'll usually cast these at the start of a fight and then again around 3/4 of the way through.
(b) any skill (not spell-only) interrupt with a reasonably short recharge. Now, you can occasionally interrupt a hex, but it's not usually worth bothering (plus their cast times are short-ish). What you really need to stop, though, is her Crystal Hybernation - her self-heal. She'll generally only try to use it once or twice (at 1/2 and 1/4 health), but you need to nab it or she'll go back up to full health. Luckily, it's a slow cast.
(c) Wild Blow. Glint's Jagged Crystal Skin acts like a supercharged Sliver Armour, and will very quickly wipe out your melee classes if they don't know to either get out of the way or knock her out of it. It's a stance, and it has a very short recharge (it's probably the skill she uses most), so you can't interrupt it or shut it down very easily.

actually, if the warriors aren't completely moronic they can switch to an elemental weapon and bypass jagged crystal skin.
Arkantos
For a mesmer, go degen/interupt.
Dreikki
You only need one spell. Wastrel's Worry. With the ½ hexes you can spam it on her, making over 63 damage per second.

Versus any boss that is too powerful I simply Echo B/o. If you don't have Echo, just toss in a few inters, WW, and Diversion.

Crystal Hybernation has something along the lines of a 10s recharge. I'm not sure how fast it recharges exactly, but I do know that it's faster than the recharge of Cry of Fustration. Consider using a backup interupt, Mantra of Recovery, or Psychic Distraction to be sure you get Hibernation every time Glint casts it. Other than that, all the mesmer needs is iHex, and WW.
