Paragon and Dervish Celestial Skills
Kai Nui
Well since characters can go between chapters, what celestial skills will they have? I'd think Paragon's skill would be shout-related and the Dervish skill would have something to do with making nearby allies turn into forms for a few seconds. Post your thoughts and ideas.
Shadowfrost
I don't think there would be a special skill for them at all. Perhaps they get their secondary's celestial skill, and for those unfortunate P/D or D/P's, they'll get nothing.
scamPOR
just give them the rit / warrior skills..
Arkantos
I doubt they'll get celestial skills tbh..
Genraka
Well, the way i see it. Assassins and Ritualist get new armor in nightfall for faction owners that buy it. Now if a player would only buy nightfall and buys factions,it makes sence that paragons and dervishes would atleast get celestial skills.
I mean if you have time to make an entire new campaign whats 2 new icons and 2 new effects?

Well, since the celestial skill aren't tied to any attribute, it would be easy to give them a Cel. Skill that already exits...
but, Anet's surprised me in the past (new Assassin and Rit skills in Nightfall), so I wouldn't rule out new Celestial Skills!

Celestial Skills are used in the last two missions of Factions.
CKaz
Yeah I'd think they'd get the closest celestial skill from another class that makes sense

As far as D & P go, I would think they should get new ones, or at least have access to similar duplicates.

Paragon would get access to Spear of Archemoures (sp?) in replacement of existing spear for 30 seconds, no brainer I guess.
Dervish would get Storm of Scythes. Or something.

I dont think AN will make additional materials for new classes in older chapters. It will have been a pain the back to go backwards when factions was released to add Assassins and Ritualists' skills to the skill quests in Chapter 1. Armorers in main cities. Weapons. Focii... etc.
I dont think they will update older chapters with new class materials. Exceptions of course would be FoW armors.

Truthfully, seeing as how little thought was put into bringing Asassins and Ritualists back to Tyria, I doubt they've even considered it. Though I'm sure now once they see this there will be something kludged together. Remember, they are trying to sell new product, not really support old product, so there's not much reason to worry about it.

Yeah I'm putting my money on the fact that the Raisu Palace and Imperial Snctum missions are going to bug out for the two professions. They do tend to leave out littel things like that.

Paragon... "Defending Roar" ... causes dazed to all adjecent foes of your target and causes 100dmg.
Dervish... "Angelic Swing"... Swing at your target causing 400 DMG.
i duno it could happen

As for putting new skills for new professions in Factions... I kind of doubt it. First off, right now there would just be Paragons and Dervish. But later on who knows how many professions there will be. It might be annoying to have to make them all and worry about balancing them for an "older" chapter.
And second, what if Factions isn't the only chapter with special powerful skills to be put in for certain missions. Maybe they'll use Celestial Skills again, or maybe they will come up with new ones.
Of course, I would hope there is some way to balance it so that new professions aren't weaker than the others in older chapters. There was no need to support Assassins and Ritualists in Prophecies (even though Ritualists can still get "universal" staves for them to drop like the Raven Staff). This is a different matter with Celestial Skills. Allowing them to use their secondary profession's Celestial Skill might be an easy solution. And if a D/P or P/D has to change secondaries just to get a skill, it really isn't that unreasonable. It could unbalance things though...
My head hurts.

hmm i read up and thought it could be possible if Nightfall would use Celestial Skills too.
This way the entire problem would be solved, all the old characters will keep the same Celestial Skills and 2 new ones would be developed for the Paragorn and Dervish.

Well quite frankly its not like 'Raisu Place' is unmangeable w/o everyone taking a celestial skill - either way it wont be a game breaker.
But if they re-use them then yeah, problem solved.

Gave it my best half arsed shot.
Dervish -
Gaze of the gods
Skill. For 10 seconds, all party members in the area are blessed with the gaze of the gods. When this blessing ends, all enemies in the area take 90 fire damage and suffer from burning for 4 seconds.
(Note: this wont stack on enemies, but instead your party could spread out a bit to effect more enemies.)
Paragon -
Starsong
Skill. For 10 seconds, all party members within earshot attack 15% faster. Every aggresive skill used by party members under this effect deals an extra 10 damage for every other party member in the area (capping +80 damage).
(This may be quite overpowered...could make it extra 5 damage, capping +40)
Blah. Something like that.
