3x Green Drop Weekend

Looks like the drop rate got increased from the canceled weekend, I might bother to farm some greens now.

Usual details on Gw website.

"This weekend, every Canthan boss monster that you slay will be three times as likely to drop a special, or "green," item. The start of this event will be Noon PDT on Friday and the greens will continue to drop at triple the normal rate through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday. Good hunting!"

Tyria gets the boot again.

How lame that Tyria isn't included. Would have made Sorrows Furnace fun to do again.

Yeh... I havent gone to Sf since the geer trick nerf, I gained a bit of experence in running builds there back as a newbie.

3x as likely? Jesus why not just make bosses drop greens everytime they die, then everything in Cantha can be worth 100 gold.

NOW that is some bullshit... sorry I know i may be trolling or whatever...but seriously has there even been a weekend event for prophecies? I bought GW 2 weeks before Factions came out and I didn't buy it. NOW that I am ready for a new chapter they are coming out with NF so I will not be buying Factions as I have heard that it pretty much blows from a PVE point of view. IF they arent going to continue having some sort of event in Tyria they should quit selling/producing new boxes as u can buy online.

I said it before, and I'll say it again now. With the double EXP Cap weekend I killed 70+ Factions bosses. I got one green. Trippling that is miniscule. That said, I'm still going for them.

In the past, it took me over 100 kills to get Jacqui's Aegis, and over 50 times I tried for Ghial's Staff...Jacqui's eventually dropped, but I gave up on Ghial. I can count on one hand the amount of greens I've had drop for me. First time though Factions, I was wondering if that had put greens in because I didn't see one for me until I got to Arborstone.

Time to go hang out in Sunjiang District for the weekend. I wonder how devalued greens will become.

With a full team of henches? assuming so, you have to times your 1/70 by 8, then 3, sundenly it doesnt seem so bad

I hardly got any (1 or 2) before Arborstone as well, then I got 3 drops first time out there. SSkai's took me about 15 times before it droped. My best times are multiple locations: Sunjiang Dist and Morostav Trail.

hmm..Maybe I can get one of those bows off of Thousand tail..after 20 or 30 tries I gave up.

This is fun... i been in factions farming bosses for a long time and so far only got the Ssaki's sword and one crappy Shing Jea Island green.

Most Canthan Greens are worth barely anything (SSkai's is going to be 1k after this). I think this is going to only bring down the prices of the Kaolin Weapons and maybe some other expensive greens like the Scar Eater or something.........

But yes I agree Tyria lays forgotten yet again................

Yes, with henchies. And I know that affects the drops you get. However, if you see what I wrote about Jacqui and Ghial, it sort of brings it into perspective. Also, of note, in the skill cap weekend, and killing those bosses, I got a grand total of 0 golds and 3 purples from drops, and 0 golds and 6 purples from chests. That's just not right. I killed mob after mob working my way to bosses and mapping Cantha, so it wasn't like I was just capping, leaving, capping, leaving. I had done nothing but fight through zones leading up to the event (working on Grandmaster Tyrian Cart.) - including missions. I can't imagine any anti-farm would still be sticking to me after doing so many missions and different area's, but alas, other than really, really bad luck, I can only come to that conclusion.

Surely ANet isn't considering encouraging solo farming...I believe they mean with a full party, henchies or PuG's that you will be 3x as likely to get the drop.

i have never gotten a green drop in cantha. aside from shing jea greens, but they need to change the color on those anyways (howabout Brown!)

What do you expect? If you buy a 1981 Honda Civic do you expect Honda to still be providing upgrades for it? Hey Honda, I'd like some anti-lock brakes and an few air-bags for my 1981...

Don't be ridiculous. You bought a year old game and you get year-old-game level support. ANet needs to make a profit so they spend their time and money on generating new products and servicing their latest releases.
