Welcome to GW! ^_^

Before everyone starts spouting off a bunch of builds, why don't you give us a bit of an idea on what you are looking for and what you have to work with. Are you looking for a PvE or PvP build? Do you prefer sword, axe, or hammer? Do you have Prophecies, or Factions, or both? What elites if any do you currently have?

Welcome to GW

You need to say if you have prophecies or factions or both, cause some skills you can't get without the other chapter.

I'll give ya some choices as to how your build will work.

First off, as a warrior, there's 2 things you need to keep in mind.
Staying on damage, and staying alive.

You want to do both. Not one or the other. [though if you choose, the 'other' should always be damage, damage is better than defending your foe to death... ]

Since you're new, I'll slap on some really strong but basic game mechanics for ya.

Learn skills that deep wound. They are Dismember, Eviscerate [elite dismember + cleave], and Gash *which needs sever unfortunately*.

A warrior that can't deep wound will do nowhere near the damage [or cause the fear] that a deep wound capable warrior can do.

Deep wound skills should be on your skill bar 100% of the time in order to hurt anything. [when Glint has 1000+ hp, you want 20% of that hacked off asap]

Players and monsters without Deep Wound take 20% longer to kill for the most part... That could be a few seconds to a few minutes. Don't give your foes that chance...

For PvP, you want to attack faster, so warrior skills like Frenzy and Tiger's Stance are good for it. Not a fan of Flurry due to the damage reduction, but the other two don't affect your damage output.

Sprint or Rush, if you're smart, are defaults for PvP as well. Can't hurt anything if it's running away, so by darn it, chase the chickens DOWN!!

For PvE, increased attack speed and sprint/dashing skills aren't that necessary. [in fact, they could be terrible] Use AoE attacks like Cyclone Axe or even To the Limit to build up your adrenaline quickly. For Great Justice! comes to mind as well. Armor boosters and defensive stances, like Shield Stance, Bonetti's Defense, Watch Yourself, and Dolyak Signet are good for PvE as well...

So, learn the skills to Deep Wound, then depending on your game type, use the right piece to fit your "puzzle". Dashing and increased damage stances are PvP material, Defensive and Protective skills fuel your PvE monster...

In PvP, the usual attack skills used are:

Axe: Eviscerate and Executioner's
Hammer: Devastating Hammer, Crushing Blow and Fierce Blow
Sword: Sever Artery, Gash and Final Thrust

They all offer a quick spike and a Deep Wound, which is crucial

Remember, you will want a speed boost like Sprint and Rush, because if you can't hit properly, there's no point. This is also why many builds make a W/E and take Shock, which Knockdowns(KDs) the opponent. This way the enemy won't be able to use any spell to protect himself or run away. Bull's Strike is also popular. Hammers have some adrenaline skills that knockdown, which is why they're often brought for disruption, also.
