PvP Character Items

I know with pvp characters you can swap out new skills you unlocked and swap them around. Now the question is, is there any way to swap in and out the basic pvp gear? When you create a character you can have "3 sets" to choose from. Lets say I wanted to change my pvp monk from healing to protection, I may want different armor and a staff that has changes to increase skill recharge of protection spells not healing. Is there any way I can go back to change gear or do I have to remake my character?

just role an RP char, not like the level curve is at all hard in this. can change spec/gear all you want.
