henching hell's Precipice (mission)
MrTumnus
Hey there.
Is it still possible? I read about ppl henching it (patiently) about a year ago, and possibly with warrior builds. Can it still be done with all the updates and stuff?
If so, what should i use? I am a R/A (I'm thinking of switching to Mo sec.) with a lvl 18 pet, winter and a bunch of other elites.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

yep.
You can do it with all henchies, and as ANY class yourself. All it takes is EXTREME patience, knowledge of good Henchy control, knowledge of Hell's Precipice mobs/aggros/patrols, and well managed pulling tactics.
Winter will definitly make it a bit ezier, but by no means is it eazy on any terms. All i can say is, good luck!
cheers!

Thanks Elites? Plural?
Anyway, this is easy with hench, bring interupts for your Ranger and call it a day.
I actually henched this with my ranger a couple months ago as a trapper...

i hench it using my barrage ranger and axe warrior. just be patient and pull especially the portal part, n the part after that. oh winter helps since u r most probably gonna bring cynn along. i think its better not to bring pet, dun think they will survive long with all the burning
-Old 3FL-
as a ranger i used winter + greater conflagration (spelled wrong i think)
that way all dmg becomes fire, and winter makes it ice. so all dmg becomes ice
and yes its possible
i usually always hench missions

Thanks MrTummus,
I just henched it this morning with my warrior. I got the bonus too. If you using your Ranger switch your secondary profession to monk to use rebirth. A few of my henches got creamed fighting Prince Ruik and his cronies, so rebirth will help. It took me about 45 minutes. Just pull, call target and pound the Hell out of groups of two or less. I didn't bring Cynn because the monsters keep fleeing when she casts firestorm.

Second leaving Cynn...Firestorm is a deal breaker to me. Bring Aidan instead.
Cicada Sopita
Yup... leave Cynn aside, since she lures all the mobs at the same time. Move carefully and it'll go easily. Just call targets in the end, where it's important to not attack the closest target immediately.
Mars Dragonblade
I did it with my ranger, but that was a lllooonnngg time ago. It did indeed take a lot of patience but it wasn't too much of a problem in the end, although I thought I'd messed up when the Lich wasn't dying and that the mission didn't seem to end after the first time I "killed" him, I dropped him eventually by the skin of my teeth. I'd say it's still possible, so good luck if you're going to try it.
Titan Chrae
It's still possible. I did it recently with my Monk while trying to cap warrior skills for my title (I had warrior secondary at the time and took took two caps - one for Eviscerate and one for Hundred Blades)
MrTumnus
THanks...I just completed it with henches. I left cynn because i've always been irritated by how she scatters things I'm trying to kill. I brought along the mesmer though I don't know how effective he was. Anyways, it seemed fine, pulling with my longbow seemed to be effective (except for once when I pulled a big mob and had to run back until there were only a few of em). Rebirth was a big help and I got to capp and use greater conflag; Broad Head Arrow is a blessing if you can hit the sparks. it also works on the lich too.
It took me 3 tries to kill the undead lich even though I made sure he was on the circle.but i figured that as long as I kept being patient I could try as many times as necessary since I could easily dispatch those he summons.
Anyways, that's my blurb about it
Thanks for the tips.
btw...what type of bow is the stormbow (longbow, hornbow)?

Unlike Factions, every mission and bonus in Prophecies is easily done with henchmen if you are a good player.
All you need is:
good, careful aggro
fire at a target with a weapon
That is all. The 8th player (yourself) can do absolutely anything he wants, the henchmen are very efficient at killing stuff, far more so than most PUGs, because they all focus on one target. And provided you don't over-aggro, the monks can keep the party alive.

I just henched Hells on my e/mo for exploration purposes - i.e., clearing the portals beach of fog. Ran a build with earth/water wards and water dmg and it worked very well.
