I want to get the wooden buckler from the collector in Vasburg Armory (Guildwiki says it's considered the best shield in the game). The farthest I've gotten into Kurzic territory is to Ft Aspenwood gate.
What is the easiest route? I assume I'll need to start at House Zu Heltzer.

Get 10k Kurzick faction, finish the primary quest requiring it in HzH, finish the primary quest you get after that and do the mission.

Or you can craft the same shield in HzH for 5k and some iron, if I'm not mistaken.

As mentioned above there is no "easy route" to Vasburg Armory (unless you've already made it to Harvest Temple on the Luxon side). You can't get to Vasburg Armory until you complete the Eternal Grove mission (after which you'll be in Vasburg Armory) so the quickest way is to just follow the primaries.
There is also a shield that has the exact same stats as the one you are trying to get on the Luxon side in Breaker Hollow. The only difference is that it's Req.9 Strength instead of Req.9 Tactics so depending on where you normally put your attribute points this may or may not be a better option. Considering that you have already passed the point where you need to choose a side Breaker Hollow should already be open to you regardless of anything else. If you've opened up Cavalon by taking Journey to Cavalon then just head South out into Archipelagos (Explorable) and then West. If you have not and do not want to take Journey to Cavalon you can still get to Breaker Hollow another way. From Zos Shivros head North out into Boreas Seabed (Explorable). After entering Boreas Seabed (Explorable) head SW to Mount Qinkai (Explorable). After entering Mount Qinkai head East and South until you get to Breaker Hollow. You'll need 5 Naga Skins but there are plenty of Naga in Boreas Seabed (Explorable) that you can get them from.

Thx Omoikane, I have the strength based shield you mentioned. The thing is, I've finally gotten rid of my Sentinels armor for Gladiators and I want to go back to a more tactics friendly build for a while. I liked the sentinels armor, but I like switching builds around quite a bit and sentinels was really restricting my options.
Thx Rathcail, looks like I'll be playing Ft Aspenwood from the Kurzic point of view. lol After getting a few hundred thousand Luxon faction saving turtles, it'll be wierd killing the poor things.
EDIT: Thx cataphract, I forgot to look at weapon crafters, yeah I think the weapon crafter in Matuu keep might have it also.
