Pre-Nightfall Quests in Tyria/Cantha?

I remember reading a post somewhere that Mhenlo,Cynn,Devona and Aidan were seen in a group window ... will try to find the post and link it.

I would highly suspect that there will be Nightfall adventures for Canthan and Tyrian characters in Cantha and Tyria. My best guess is that events will happen and quests will open in these regions for your current characters on OCT 27th
Players don't need to arrive on NEWB island, they just need to appear as reinforcements for Kormir when the War begins. War begins after competition of events on NEWB Island. You the players are most likely those friends from Tyria and Cantha that Kormir referred to if you completed the PvE event main quests.

In the past ANet have always made an effort to tie the campaign storylines together with a smooth transition. I trust they will keep doing this for Nightfall.
Remember when they moved the PvP area to the Battle Isles? It happened in several steps. First Zaishen forces were showing up in various places. Then the Tombs were sealed. Then the Battle Isles opened. Then the Tombs re-opened. Finally some of the Zaishen forces withdrew.
Similar with the release of Factions. Luxon/Kurzicks showed up in Lion's Arch. Then there were the Kurzick/Luxon Settlement quests. Then there were the "Can't we get along?" and "Crush the Luxons/Destroy the Kurzicks!" quests with Meika Ulrikar and Dalos Ekarus. Finally the Settlements were removed and all Luxons/Kurzicks were expelled. Only Meika and Dalos setteled in that small village in NKP.
I expect a similar series of events in Tryia and Cantha before Nightfall is released. Maybe creatures of chaos will appear and cause some havoc as a sign that the portal to the Realm of Torment has been breached. Creatures very similar to the ones that destoryed the Tombs of Primeval Kings. Creatures very similar to the ones that disturbed the Canthan Dragon Festival. Then some Sunspears will show up and ask the people of Cantha and Tyria for help. Mhenlo & Co as well as the Zaishen will answer the call and ask players to join in. You can enroll as a new Sunspear recruit and finally, on October 27th, travel to Kamadan.
