When I saw the new Dervish Scythe skills - many of which cost 5 or 10 energy - my first reaction was to reduce the costs to 2/5 or 2/4 with 13 or 14 in expertise and spam them. Ones that looked good to me for R/D were:
Eremite's Attack
Irresistable Sweep
Lyssa's Assault
Penitent Strike
Reap Impurities
Reaper's Sweep [e]
Pair some of these (obviously not all of them!) with Whirling Defense and possibly Throw Dirt, and Conviction from Earth Prayers, and the R/D would have decent defense.
Would it work? Did anyone experiment with an R/D over preview weekend?

No point really, dervishes arent exactly short of energy with lyssas sweep (is that the 10e one?) and the enchantment removing one, plus signet of piety.

While Rangers can play many professions just as well and sometimes better with certain builds, I don't think Dervish is one that will easily be covered by Rangers. They have good energy management as well as a strong defense as they are.
