Icy Axe Haft Location

Can someone clue me in as to where these are more likely to drop?

They don't drop like that, it drops together with a weapon and you have to salvage it off. There's no specific place where they drop so you're most likely better off buying on in Lions Arch or something.

You normally find them attached to icy axes... sadly nobody knows when are where they are going to drop.

Thanks- I figured they were part of the weapon itself, but didn't want to confuse the forum by me not knowing the (an) exact name for the weapon.

To the OP - It won't be easier to find an IDS. Icy axe hafts (ice axes) drop far more frequently than IDS's do. You can pick an Icy axe haft up for around 1k and put it on any axe you want. An IDS will run you 15k or more.

Reading up on Guidwiki, IDS has a location north of Copperhead Mines. At least I have a starting point. I'd rather have the axe, but meh.

Yeah- I figured that the drop rate would be small, but I'd rather do this on my own. Sounds kinda stuborn, I know, but I'd like to get there by my own devices...if you know what I mean

Much easier to buy the axe haft.

IDS rarely drop, so just buy the axe haft for 1k!
